Question, will the Welkin get ADF spawns like Hornet etc? (at least last I played the Hornet got one)
As that seems to be the IRL role and the " * Poor agility at low altitude" part has me wondering if it will be a slog to get up to higher levels. Also with the blog mentioning the Whirlwind as a comparison I think it a good question to ask ^^

Different turrets, H2S blister, less crew. Some had the turrets removed.

Deffo looking forward to it then, I do love the whirlwinds but the lack of ammo made it very niche for my skill issue in aiming 20mm guns xD
Also, the blog says 566 rounds, I am guessing 2 guns have more than the other 2? As /4 141.5 rounds per gun.

The “late” Welkin is was fitted with more powerfull merlin engines 113/114 instead of the Merlin 72/73 in the main production version. So the top speed went up from 620 kmh to 640kmh

Could be slight engine difference. Merlin 72/73 for one and Merlin 76/77 for the other.
Both were fitted to Welkins.
I think the earlier 72/73 combo was slightly more powerful overall - being based on the Spitfire Mk.VII and Mk.VIII/Mk.IX’s respective Merlin 64 and Merlin 63 but with a reverse coolant flow. While the 76/77 was better optimised at altitude, with the 77 also being used in the Spitfire PR Mk.X
Merlin 64, 73 and 77 were versions of the respective 63/72/76 with a system to provide cockpit pressurisation on these versions of Spitfire, and Welkin.
Ed: Huzar shows the last engine was the even further advanced Merlin 113/114, and that appears to be what is modelled on the late one shown in the devblog video
