Those were just the reports I could be bothered to find, there are a few others as well, like the AMRAAM should have a greater active range which would then mean a more powerful radar seeker. Could be important in the future.
and thats just based upon the Aim-120B. C5 is probably underperforming even more than that still
I use it in sim a lot on the sea harrier FA.2 and it’s meh.

A shame really considering R-77 can be faced at 13.3…
Visually 120fps, input delay and response time and frame time of 30fps (actually worse frame time by quite a bit) and ghosting harder than TAA
tbh I think frame genning at 30 fps is a bit too low, its why I usually aim for a base frame rate of at least around 50 fps before turning frame gen on. That way it still feels good enough while having insane motion fluidity

R-77 non -1 is pretty damn trash
Don’t even get me started on the ghosting and the artifacting of a terribly implemented frame gen system

It’s better than amraam out to like 20-25km
AMRAAM is only good at very long range. However it’s useless here as it’s too easy to notch or literally just flying low defeats it.
harder to notch??? you genuinly are ragebaiting atp, stop confusing the R-77 and R-77-1, the AIM120 beats the R-77 by miles in every aspect but offbore shots, its the R-77-1 you are probably referncing here
r77 is not harder to notch.
It just turns harder

Yes except harrier 1 should actually be better for BVR and WVR.
Pulls a whole 1G less for any given AOA than it should so you can’t really enter notch that easily.
Where’s harrier 2 does it easily.
