i would kill for a usable aim 120, i’d rather use a damn derby than aim 120
Visually 120 fps, but the input delay and response time of 30 fps
I’d much rather have smooth 60 fps than an unoptimized mess than doesn’t manage to reliably stay over 30 fps and requires frame gen to not stutter constantly

Those were just the reports I could be bothered to find, there are a few others as well, like the AMRAAM should have a greater active range which would then mean a more powerful radar seeker. Could be important in the future.
and thats just based upon the Aim-120B. C5 is probably underperforming even more than that still

I use it in sim a lot on the sea harrier FA.2 and it’s meh.

A shame really considering R-77 can be faced at 13.3…

tbh I think frame genning at 30 fps is a bit too low, its why I usually aim for a base frame rate of at least around 50 fps before turning frame gen on. That way it still feels good enough while having insane motion fluidity

R-77 non -1 is pretty damn trash
Don’t even get me started on the ghosting and the artifacting of a terribly implemented frame gen system
id rather have r-77 than aim 120a/c5
having so much better turning ability makes such a big difference

That’s with me at 30,000 feet firing top down in the NEZ all 4 amraam where I will eat a R-77 in return for the flanker to in the deck dying

It’s harder to notch, seems to beats Mp much better and pulls far harder.
It’s better than amraam out to like 20-25km
AMRAAM is only good at very long range. However it’s useless here as it’s too easy to notch or literally just flying low defeats it.
