i just climb at 15 degrees then level out around 8.5km then fire at around mach 1.7, yields the best results for me
We assume so
yea but most people at top tier have at least half a functioning brain
lmao yea i get that
considering i still get 1 - 2 kills a lot of the time within the first 3 minutes of the game in the bvr phase i doubt it
most players just fly into ts
Average AIM-120C-5 fin speed
you can legit dodge the thing with a su30 at like 6km, the missile is a joke
I mean I wouldn’t be surprised since Hungary would need something for rank 2/3
if it works for you then all power to you, i just really dont see a range difference in actual gameplay personally
same shots my 120c hits, the 120b would 99% likely hit too
I don’t want to be a buzzkill and I’m not saying it was final but the AIM-120D was in the files for a bit during the last dev server and it was literally just a 120C5 with 30 seconds of extra battery life…
There’s a major bug on the Mirage 2000C-S5; the chaff level drops and then immediately jumps back up to half. I spent my last game (in Arcade mode) dropping chaffs. I reported it, but it says it’s fixed.

For those who are motivated, starting from 5 minutes
The 120c-5 is better than the aim120a/b in game but only if you’re going about mach 1.5 or faster. the higher you go the better off you are as well because the lower drag means your missiles have more energy as they dive through the thicker atmosphere. the slower you are the worse the c-5 is overall.
Aim120c-5 was godly in the files until they gimped it too.
it was great on the first dev
During the last dev server the AIM-120D was an AIM-120C5 with 30 seconds of extra battery life, GNSS (so no IOG drift) and 360 launch angles like the R-77-1 (on an ARH that can’t pull lol)
Hopefully this is different tomorrow, only time will tell
It was, it really was a good upgrade. slower accelerating but overall better maneuverability. like an aim7e2 vs aim7f
itll fly 40km straight then turn and go for the target behind you
yea, but gaijin said “nah, they dont need that”
