Well, hopefully maybe then they will start actually working on several-year-old bug reports about nerfs, inaccuracies and mismodellings/outdated models, I guess.
Like Type 10’s broken steering (since 2021), the Abrams turret ring (since 2018), Merkava Mk.4’s armor (since 2022)…
At this point, I actually look forward more to potential fixes and improvements than vehicles on each patch note; but update after update I am disappointed, so… I’ve stopped setting up any expectations for that.
That’s also why I barely make any posts about it anymore. For years, I had hopes that drawing attention to these issues would lead to them being acknowledged and corrected.
However, I’ve come to realise that… lack of awareness was NEVER the issue. They openly acknowledge them, and refuse to fix them; be it because “it’s working as intended”, “it’s not needed”, or “it’s just not a priority”… so why bother at this point about trying to help make the game better when its creators won’t? Waste of time and energy.
I’m honestly not sure if the current helicopters pve is better than that old pvp. Same problems with inadequate balance/not enough decompression, but lower rewards.
Yeah, first came helicopters with AAMs, then Ka-50s. Although it’s not like Gaijin couldn’t make a separate room for helicopters with Vikhr for example, especially considering the amount of them.
Btw I also remember very rare rank V only rooms, they were awesome for AB 205A-1)
yesss I knew that I wasn’t hallucinating, I remember having some matches of only rank v very rare cases but quite refreshing, because the wave of KA-50s just going high just to start lobbing vikhrs destroying entire lobbies was abysmal
I honestly hope we get more <9.3 helis. That bracket is actually pretty fun sometimes, but since these helicopters generally aren’t popular outside of that mode we don’t see them added much.
What do you think about adding a saturation/submunition bomb like the CBU-87? (and their equivalents in other nations)
Firing at a good altitude, it can cover an area of approximately 200 x 400 meters. The BLU-97/B rounds can penetrate about 12 to 15 mm of steel, which is not a problem for an MBT but could allow for clearing a forest or a city where light artillery or AA are hiding.
Assuming the mines werent modeled and so it was pure KB-44. BL755 would be waaaaay worse. 1700+ bomblets with 250mm pen vs 112? (genuinely not sure) KB-44 designed for softer targets.
Youd also be waaaay more vulnerable with MW-1 (and JP233) than BL755. though does look cool
