9.7 is fair, but it’s a bit barren br for us.
While unlikely 9.3 would be great
Nah, tracked house EFV is 9.3, dragoon won’t be that much higher.
Maybe with atgm, but we getting version without them.
There are 4 similar vehicles at 9.7 already so assuming that the Dragoon will also end up there is probably the safest bet I can make in my life.
Again? Dang… The Tejas needs more love for real
We’ll have to see the exact reasons
Some says that it got badly damaged in a landing where the plane is beyond dead and cant be repaired.
Could be engine thrust loss or flight control systems failing last sec
Maybe idk… If the plane wasn’t shattered on impact, it probably means it was rather low or horizontal when the pilot ejected, a loss of control would likely cause it to dart into the ground no? So my bet is engine failure
How do you think. Is the list of “guesses” today or tomorrow? The last ones were usually on Sundays, like
When AIM-120C-5 was first introduced to the dev-server through F/A-18C Late and F-15E, dev-server threads were subsequently made asking for AIM-120C on the Typhoon as well before it was shortly given to the Typhoon.
While it is not currently planned for Typhoon to get an upgrade in missile capability some members of the community have been asking for an upgrade in missile to the Typhoon.
Would you support dev-server threads that calls for Typhoons to get an AMRAAM upgrade?
- Yes
- No
I doubt Typhoon with an AMRAAM upgrade, especially if it’s a small upgrade, would make it better than Su-30SM2.
Since Eurofighters never used AIM-120D, I do not want them to get this one;
However, I would like at least the AESA Typhoons to get C-7, the one they actually use.
That way, the 400,000 RP and 1,000,000 SL from the other variant would be slightly more justified…
In-game C-7 is a copy paste of C-5. Irl Typhoons did use the AIM-120C-8 though afaik
absolutely not, especially since the whole purpose of decreasing the gap for US aiframes would get nullified
The decrease in gap for US airframes and Rafale/Su-30SM2 would still be there while this upgrade for Typhoons would get the Typhoons closer to SM2/Rafale in overall capabilities even if the gap ends up remaining the same between Typhoons and US airframes.
Sounds about Russian, always something with their top ships its been, think it was the Kronstadt for a good while that people were complaining about.
better armor than the Merkava Mk.4M, new FCS, and most importantly, the Iron Vision system allowing the commander to see 360° outside while staying inside, thus not exposing himself
Ingame, Iron Vision will give a massive boost in situational awareness for the player, I made a list of Iron Vision’s features ordered by how likely they are to actually be implemented ingame:
Access to 3rd gen thermals in 3rd person view instead of image intensification (most likely)
Access to 3rd person view in ground simulator battles (likely)
Automatic detection of friendly and enemy units around the vehicle (unlikely)
Automatic identification and alerting of friendly and enemy units around the vehicle (most unlikely)
m113 will be too amazed by the gyat and will lose
Depending on the performance of the aim-120D, it could potentially end up being a great missile that would help struggling US planes such as the 15C GE or the superhornet, but also potential future additions like the F-16 PoBiT.
Looking at the first introduction of the aim-120C5, whose purpose was aiding the previous worst top tier airframes (F/A-18C late, and judging from player statistics even the F-15E), it originally was bound to be a good missile, certainly on par with the best fox-3s. Except that typhoon players begun complaning, saying they should have got it too, as well as rafale players insisting on buffing the MICA’s range. Where did all of this complaning took us? The aim-120C5 was added to the typhoons, however it was in such an abysmal state, that it is barely considered a sidegrade, if not a complete downgrade to the already existing aim-120B in actual relevant scenarios, and no gap was ever reduced.
The aesa typhoons are already considered the best amraam platforms, and among the 3 best planes in the entire game along the rafale and Su-30SM2. It receiving the aim-120D would most likely neuter the potential upgrades that it might bring, and nullify the original intent of lessening the gap with the current and future top tier airframes, even if for just a bit. the addition of the 120D to the typhoons, should only be granted if both the F-15EX gets released, and the amraam D ends up being this game changing missile some individuals fear it will be.
tldr: typhoon players asking for this missile, are in the same boat of rafale players asking for MICA buffs — in the current situation they are simply not needed
You do bring up some good points although you’re kinda making a correlation into a causation type of thing with assuming that they removed the reduced FOV on the AIM-120C-5 because it was added onto the Typhoons and not that they were planning on removing it the whole time in the first place. It may be that developers found no evidence of AIM-120C-5 having a different seeker compared to the AIM-120A/B.
The poll is to kind of gauge how well the thread would go if they were made by asking the general community.
But the concern about the AIM-120D having potential upgrades being neutered in my opinion is misplaced as this isn’t the AIM-120D-3 but the base model D instead which has definitive primary sources stating addition of GPS guidance and such.

I sure wonder who voted yes here, could be anyone. (/s)
