The arrangement of the modules inside was different
Show? I don’t recall the Thai VT-4 having any module or model? I remember mentioning that the only mention of it was a skin name for it, and Gszabi showed it had a .blk that im pretty sure was identical to the Chinese one.
No, he had a ready-made 3-D model
Show then please! Not to say you aren’t telling the truth, I just haven’t seen it
I think they are intended as one “regional” / combined subtree, so in a way they are. But at the same time any proper regional connection would include other nations that I doubt they have plans for.
For example the suggestion for them narrowed it down to five “founding ASEAN nations”, since that was the smallest possible multinational grouping, but this is still likely more than what Gaijin wants in game. I think Gaijin also saw this and that’s why they decided to go for the three individually instead without any pressure to include more.
The automatic loader was higher than the original one in the game; it lies right on the floor, while the Thai one was higher, almost in the middle. I’ll try to find a photo now, it was a long time ago
I remember seeing a similar image, but that was a proposal for a corrected VT-4 I believe, not an actual model for the Thai VT-4. Could be wrong, like you said it has been a while
This is exactly the photo
99% of the time I agree with this, although imo this deblog season hasn’t been too bad.
Most of the vehicles revealed have been between mid-mediocre somewhere, but it’s hard to be truely disappointed by at least the TT vehicle blogs for me.
I agree with what you said mainly, aside from this:
We never actually saw the Thai VT-4 in game, only mentioned by name in leaks and the dev stream. China got a Norinco owned demonstrator that’s different from the Thai model.
This is really just a case of a newer vehicle being modeled better, while Gaijin is slow on updating old ones. The only reason anyone assumed otherwise was specifically because the timing was already controversial and people were looking for more reasons to complain.
That was on the dev server and it was Chinese, not Thai.
Iirc they for some reason changed it back to being on the floor on release, despite reports that the higher, better protected autoloader was the correct one.
Yes, perhaps what you said is more like the truth. It was a long time ago, and I don’t remember exactly what was happening at that moment (I was sitting happy on the brand new AH-64E)
Well, as for me, the fact that they didn’t add the Thai VT-4 is very good (it was in front of the Oplot, judging by the screenshots in the leaks), thanks to this I was able to understand earlier at 400k rp that the Oplot is complete garbage.
Yes, the update leaks usually come from the Chinese people. And they probably collect their leaks during information exchange between Gaijin and local distributor.
The infantry leaker I guess had access to some encrypted file format and was reading them? Though the Chinese were not leaking any infantry before. I think the Chinese get them information passed by Gaijin themselves, that is why we can learn about future sub trees etc.
no you can literally just read through the files yourself with tools that a gaijin dev posted. its literally just taking a file from your game directory and reading it. their reasoning for it was that they posted them as leaks and not disclosing every single post with “THIS IS NOT CONFIRMATION!!”, even though they’ve never been told to
Yet they’re adding base AIM-120D model instead of the AIM-120D3 which they should skip to.
That figure is usually tied to the AIM-120D-3.
Guesses list tomorrow?
Meh, how about a update without a list?
Updates are always mid, let me at least know everything I won’t have already
Hopefully, give us something to talk about during the slow period of the first weekend.
I also want to know if I’ve seen everything I’d care about.
