I do hope we go for a mixed fleet over just sticking with the F-35 (and that sounding likly with the recent rumours).

Mixed fleets are super expensive thats why a lot of nations don’t run them unless they have a lot of money
i hope so, as much people think the f35 is good, i dont think so.
f35 have so much downside that only good thing they have is stealth, who work 50% of time
Not to mention Grippen is made for Cold weather. Less problems than most aircraft that get forced into that environment.

its not about that as some country operate the f35 in cold weather.
its about current use of plane in the current war era. payload matter most today and gripen have this card while f35 dont.
- long range strike: gripen win as it can carry 5 Taurus or 4 strom shadow missile who are miles better than agm154 ER
- air combat : non stealth gripen win, having accces to aim120D and meteor / aim9x / IRST is miles better than f35 who in none stealth mode only carry 6 fox3 and 2 fox1 when gripen carry 5 fox3 and 2 fox1, including fuel tanks.
- anti ships : no need to talk, gripen clearly win here RBS-15 with 5 of them.
- range : 1500km gripen and 1000km f35

Im perosnally hoping for either 2x Aim-9L fit for 11.0 or 2x Aim-9M fit for like 11.7
