C5 added the larger motor, C7 was just guidance upgrades. No idea about C8+ though
Except it should because that’s when the 5in motor was introduced - the AIM-120C-5.
The AIM-120C-7 had a plethora of other additions. A new booster was not one of them.

PL-12A is PL-12A. Based on current sources and information, PL-12AE is believed to be the export variant.
It does, I wish they’d add all the little decorations like that more often, some tanks need them so bad.
Belived to be? No where is the PL-12A mentioned outside of a unofficial museum exhibit the PL-12A does not exist.
So is this “PL-12A” the PL-12AE or different?
So it should either be named the PL-12 late or PL-12AE
Swedish Helis and Ostwind?
I assume this is a first party source? I stand corrected. Though i do have a PR release from the air force that says otherwise. So it’ll be a C-5 with hobs prolly, even though the c-5 should have better hobs already and the d should just be another improvement.
I was in reference to fictional vehicles my response below that explains that, the F16AJ only existed in paper. The AHS and MI-28 were real unlike most of Japans stuff.
Trial while I’m against it, is more believable and a better choice than fictional content
Germany had its Panther and Tiger removed without replacements, Japan hasn’t so let’s not bring Germany here either cause again only Japan gets that level of treatment.
Ive just seen Gunjob post this a few times so I assume its half decent source
(at least im 95% sure its the same image)
I only ask because the only first party source i have says that it was the C-7 that added the +5 motor. though its just a pr statement so it could just be wrong.
F-16AJ is just an F-16A though. The fact it’s got a different designation doesn’t make it any less real than the “AHS” (Swedish AH-64A)
An American F-16 was demonstrated to a JASDF delegation in the same manner a Russian Mi-28A was presented to the Swedish delegation.
It’s based on the prototype F16 and weighs less than other F16A in game so state wise it’s also just a better F16.
Additionally it never existed outside of paper. Every other trial vehicle existed.
Even the Japanese Tiger which never got to Japan is more real than the F16AJ.
Why would they need a replacement though? Wouldn’t be the first time a tree skips a br step (in this case, 7.0).
The F-16AJ is a placeholder for an early F-2, so of course its going to stay until we get an early F-2. We don’t have one, so it stays. The Ostwind would leave a massive gap in the tree, so it also stays.
Iirc the devs had stated a medium tank would be added to 6.7 to replace the Panther 2 but that never came and they do lack a solid medium there.
As for the F2 why does Japan need a stop gap? Where were other nations stop gaps for dealing with 4th gen fighters? Why did Japan get a fictional vehicle when 2 other nations were left to rot for a year?
This can also apply further back to older metas but again only japan gets that treatment
This is where my lack of knowledge is, at the time did these other nations not have a 4th gen themselves? In the devblog, it states its a stopgap for the F-2 since thats the only service Japanese aircraft that could be added and it was far too advanced.
I’m pretty sure the DVHA1 is a separate vehicle. I was reading maybe it was the M1304? I’m now curious if it will get its airburst munitions though, none of the other 30mm that use the same ammunition have it, I’m hoping since it’s a new vehicle they will get it right. I also hope that they get the engine noise right, instead of copy pasting from some other IFV.
You can hear it accelerating at 0:35, it sounds a lot like the Bkan in game.
Funny thing I found too, the XM813 (and the Mk44 Bushmaster) can fire the ammunition found on the A-10’s 30mm.
Or on paper, Gaijin decided to remove all modifications needed to match the minimum requirements of the competition aside from half the Sparrow load based on the ADF that didn’t exist at the time, remove guided bombs and gave it an engine that also didn’t exist at the time because they believed this is more accurate than the actual proposal.
Okay so Sweden and Britain were left from Apex predators in December until Air superiority in December the next year, where Sweden had the 12.0 JA37D vs 12.0 Mig 29 and F16. 2 sky flash and 4x 9L in a third gen vs 4x 7M and 2x 9L of the F16 with a better radar.
Britain had the Tonka with Supertemp missiles but it’s a Tonka.
Sweden planned to get an F16 there documents discussing the label of JAS39 for the F16 yet they didn’t get it.
Again why should Japan get special treatment. Hell Sweden could’ve gotten the Hali air trial Mig 29 but didn’t. Again of the nations that didn’t have an owned F16/Mig 29 Japan got the best F16 for an entire year.
Oh yeah they made a vehicle that doesn’t resemble what it was supposed to be.
They did the exact thing for old German top tier and in naval it’s not even special anymore to see incomplete ships be made whatever Gaijin wants to have in game instead of accurate.
The only reason the F-16AJ sticks out is because there was alternatives like a Thai/Indonesian F-16 or just an early F-2. And even that can be explained by a genuine mistake because they mistook the YF-16 Sparrow testbed for an F-16J prototype.
Also maybe because it’s the only case they did this for air, others are ground/naval mainly while air otherwise always had at least partially built vehicles
