My bad just saw you were talking about the name itself, yes in russian its called tank support vehicle, I just mean its officially considered to be a “vehicle designed to provide fire support to tank and motorized infantry units”

Yeah, that’s it’s intended purpose. They needed something that’s primarily focussed on defending and supporting tanks (and to some degree infantry as well)

yea, well, i wish they would add actually non copy pasted stuff to the israeli tech tree. i cant remember the last time that a non copy pasted vehicle was added correctly (bardelas is missing the autoloader, which is the main part of the vehicle, no idea how they didn’t add it along with other missing stuff, and spyder, we dont talk about that one)
Either they’re gonna revive the tech tree or they can just declare it as dead

What is that thing on the Antelope anyways?
it does MBT things worse than an MBT because it’s gun is small
It does IFV things worse than an IFV because it cant actually carry infantry securely
A radar but it doesn’t do much
It can’t carry infantry at all
There is no transport compartment, there is only space for the actual crew
exactly, a 2 in 1 IFV/MBT thats worse at both jobs than either one of them
thats like if you mixed a Racing car and a school bus by making a Giant car that doesnt go so fast but still only has 1 guy in it

Is there any reason why SPAA like the Antelope cannot use their IRST to scan for planes?
Is that a real life limitation or is that just a case of Gaijin not implementing that feature?
I think it’s just cause it’s a silly little kei truck with rocket taped to it
In the case of the Antelope, fair, but other SPAAs seem to lack that feature as well
(Unless I am stupid and just don’t know how to disable just the regular radar and use the IRST to scan for planes instead)
