is the english dev stream bugged?

I hope this won’t mean the F3s will be forgotten.

  • BOL overhaul
  • Phimat pods
  • Finished FM
  • Skyflash ST LSZ
  • and a few more that I’m forgetting.

All still currently outstanding for them

(Let alone the state of the Harriers)

Even when sub tree vehicles do come, you and others then complain they are not British. I seem to recall you also complaining about the SuperHind, a South African sub tree unique variant. So there is no winning there.

Air to Air and SAM ranges are typically “measured” in a different way.
For planes it is “how close do i need to get to the enemy”
For SAM it is “how far away i can protect”
So if you place a SAM system, and it has 40km effective range, you expect it to create a 40km radius dome to protect whatever is inside.

The bigger problem is that most SAM missiles when they reach the end of their ranges are still around Mach 1 while SLM is dying at Mach 0.2, that should be what is bug reported instead. Don’t get hung up on Mach 3 when there’s other ways to buff the missile to achieve the same outcome.

Tbf GR.4 has better missiles than the Gripen which is only a good dogfighter. So could explain why its a higher BR, its has marginally worse CAS weapons and worse A2A.

Eh… I still think most would probably take the Gripen A or F16A over the GR4. I know a lot who take the Gripen C over the FGR4.

I think the GR4 was just lazy BR placement though top tier air BRs for ground are a total mess

Pretty happy with this update so far. Two Aussie vehicles, two Canadian vehicles, everyone gets top-tier competent SAMs, Japan gets some needed vehicle types, especially a tracked tank in a part of the TT that everything is wheeled, currently.

But to say that the SLM wouldn’t fire on targets that are outside of 40km seems to me to be unrealistic unless those targets happen to be munitions.

Everyone except for Japan, Sweden and China (and Israel if the people that complain about the SPYDERs performance are telling the truth)

Anyway, the Germans can report that there’s a disparity on max range for SLM. Why is it that other SAM missiles can have max range be where the missile is around Mach 1 and then the battery dies but not the SLM? @DevilO6 Still haven’t seen anyone report that discrepancy

Well i guess its a good thing you have options so theres no need for gaijin to panic and need to fix anything then. Again realistically i feel its the wrapons which make the FGR4 higher in BR, Gripen has to sacrifice its main skyflash pylons to use its ground munitions additionally they aren’t RB71B nor are they RB72 or RB73 as gaijin doesn’t care to add any unique swedish air to air missiles as they’d be too hard to balance.

What can the Swedish receive out of curiosity? Whether they’re Swedish or Finnish systems

Well I know they have new SAM types, but I don’t know if they are actually bad or people just like complaining as I haven’t played them.

not getting hung up. just one of the many issues with SLM despite the spotlight gaijin got directly from deihl

Please consult this list

It might fire, it might not. What I’m saying is, that let’s use Buk this time, 22km against heavly maneuvering target. 22km is the dead zone, not a mark where you fire. If the target is outside 22km,it might survive, but within it missile is expected to hit anything within the rest of its parameters.
So if they say 40 effective and Mach 3, I personally would expect the Mach 3 to be reached while attacking a target inside that 40km, not one outside even the max usable range of 50km, as stated by BMVg.

The Issue, on any case they ask for source…
