Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

they both preform the CAS role. they are the same situation and should be discussed together.

You literally just have to hover or multipath

IRL your only saving grace would be hiding behind terrain, so it’s somewhat an improvment

10km range, fired from reasonably high. Don’t track half the time and self destruct the other half

Still the same BR as the IDS(1995) with no GPS weapons at all and not even litening ii. My point,.tpod performance doesn’t matter in terms of BR placement. Otherwise I want GR7 a lower BR with only TIALD

And the GR4 does?

Again, kinda my point…same BR. Tpod obviously doesn’t matter.

Exactly. Again… My point that I’ve been making… SAL Brismtone 2s to instead of SAL Brimstone 1s. Unreasonable buff?

You can pop smoke on an IR missile and it lose track you can not with an MMW in the current state of the game which was the reason Gaijin stated they wouldn’t add MMW.

And you dismiss everything I say because “single nation mains dont get an opinion”

Typhoon barely had a working radar till July. In fact I knew multiple people who ran IRST only with just 9Ms because they couldn’t be bothered touching the radar. Still had people trying to argue the EFT was OP and should be nerfed compared to the F15E. Many people argued C5s shouldnt have been given to the EFT.

It’s frustrating that every single time you mention a bug fix for the EFT people will always say “hu duh…it’s OP doesn’t need buffs”

It’s radar is still a buggy mess. Most of it’s CMs barely work and it’s cockpit is just disgusting to even look at at the moment.

Combine with the fact it has the weakest A2G loadout that is a.complete work of fiction and it’s time for the Typhoon to get buffs.

targeting pod very much does matter if you have weapons that can actually be fired from more than 5km away or are fnf, better targeting pod makes it much easier to find targets and fire missiles of faster

never said it was

The AGM-179 JAGM was specifically designed as a “network-centric” missile. It does not necessarily need to receive illumination only from the helicopter itself.
Laser channel - JAGM can go to the target using laser illumination from a UAV (for example, the MQ-1C Gray Eagle or even small reconnaissance aircraft with a laser designator), other helicopters, ground observers with a laser designator (JTAC).
IR + radar channel - if the missile managed to capture the target with its sensors before launch (or immediately after launch), then it does not need external illumination at all - it can complete the attack itself.
Practical advantage:
Apache can launch JAGM “blindly” from behind cover if the drone provides illumination.
The helicopter takes less risk, not exposing itself to MANPADS.
In a network war, the missile becomes a “common tool”, and is not tied only to the carrier.
We have drones in our game, but you understand that in our game it will never happen that a Western helicopter would hit air defenses with ATGMs with impunity.
Our game is not about reality, but about bias and balance.

I’ve made TIALD work enough to know that it’s not always that big of a deal…sure litening iii or better yet the Flir is a lovely buff. But hardly seems fair justifying a 0.3 higher BR than something like the Gripen A for it and it alone

And that’s all I’m really asking for here. Time for Brimstone 2s

all non ESA radars have been weird since the storm warning update, not just the typhoon radar

Perhaps, not had any trouble with Blur Vixen or Foxhunter though. But started getting massive ghosting problems again a few weeks ago on the captor-M. Decided to wait until after this major to resubmit the ghosting bug report for the fourth time

smaller scan area means the ghosting is less noticable, its an issue with the radars prediction of where the enemy will be before the target gets scanned again

And as someone who has played both the F-15E and EFT. I already prefered the EFT over the F-15E for BVR even before the radar buff. However that doesn’t mean I think that it shouldn’t have gotten the radar buff, it was very welcome and needed.

It’s just that even after the radar buff you still tried arguing that the F-15E was a better BVR plane, only reason you stopped is likely because people called out your bogus arguments for this specific claim.

And that prediction shouldn’t be jumping 15km+ in multiple different directions

Because all I see is people underselling the F-15E. Trying to make it out that it’s the weakest jet at top tier and needs a BR drop. Actually fairly certain I saw someone try to argue the F15E should be 13.7 last BR change.

Sure it’s a missile truck. But it’s a missile truck that is not out performed in terms of climb rate or max speed. Nor does it have weaker weapons than anyone else (bar the Rafale)

I’ve been there. I’ve got the t-shirt of a “weak”, BVR truck Vs fighters. The F15E is not weak. It’s stronger than almost everything and I still holds advantages over the typhoon…sure the typhoon can transition into wvr far easier, but that doesn’t mean the F15E is in anyway bad.

I tried playing 13.0 during the event and after the BR change. Every uptier was just F15Es dominating. It should really be 14.3

Wake up and we are still going with the off topic.

Please try to stay on track guys. Plenty of topics where you can discuss existing aircraft

All this started because I was wondering if we would finally get SAL Brimstones 2s now every nation has gotten new top tier SAMs.

Australia isn’t a subtree and Britain can get Mirage IIIs through South Africa

German made tanks barely get shown in Teaser, yes I know but the M55 was from the BW…
Yes, and is yet an US made vehicle

Good Morning Smin :)

I wonder if the CF-188 is a pack premium or GE
