Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

ARH missile never existed. Buk M2 got a single vehicle that had prototype ARH missiles, and its missiles are different from M3 ones.
After that, ARH was dropped.
Addition of ARH=fictional.
Yak-141 all over again?

to model is to make a model of something, once that has been done it has been modeled

Modelled is past tense of to model, which is future tense of model which is present

as in “I’m going to model this” (future)
“I have the model of that” (present)
“they have already modelled that” (past)

Modelled can also just flat out mean different things, like visual model, damage model, flight model, overall modelling of a vehicle and so on

sorry if it might seem dumbed down, but just trying my best to help, i might also not quite get 100% what you mean, i haven’t looked back in the thread yet

you have to embrace realism

as I remember, there is a plan of developing new ARH missile for M3?

This game is like a museum, only it’s realistic. The rest is just gaming conventions.

Have not heard anything about it, other than some people just saying it with no backing.
Also plan =/= existing and working missile.

Look up like 20 messages (from my original message) and you’ll understand. Probably a good laugh as well. I feel bad that you took the time to type all of that out. Appreciate it.

from here

dovbleg

ah right, i didn’t mind typing it anyway, I’m trying to write something for my history class, and nearly 3000 words in you get a bit bored, need to get it to around 4500

distractions are more than welcome rn

@Smin1080p_WT A few weeks ago you commented that new generation air 2 air missiles are very unlikely, has Gaijin already given up on this (as part of the update)? or theres still hope?

also any chance we get too see different missiles that dont involve a generational upgrade? such as python 4 or any radar guided ones? thanks a lot!

modelling doesn’t refer to 3D models only

But that’s all there is.

Teaser when?

And what is that? Is it because I used the word “model” instead of “detailed vehiles” as written in the game description?

@Zulizia
It wasn’t so much abandoned, but failed to continue that branch of development, it’s history time!
The Next Generation Armoured Car project, which would spawn both the Concept 3 and the Rooikat, started in '74 with the requirements for an 8x8 armoured car being released to industry in '76, and prototypes ordered in '78 with deliveries in '79 for mobility trials. These prototypes would be the Concept 1, Concept 2, and Concept 3. Based on the Ratel, Eland, and Alvis Saracen respectively. All would be fitted with the HV 77mm gun from the South African Army’s retired Comets to simulate the weight of the 76mm naval gun that had been selected the year prior. All three Concepts fail the mobility trials and where deemed not to meet requirements, however useful data was gathered and taken forward to the next round of prototypes, which were loosely based on the Concept 2, these would be the Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3. Eventually a variant of the Class 2, the Class 2B would be selected and become the Rooikat.
Somewhat relatedly, personally I would quite like to see the Class 1 in game, dedicated 6x6s are just so cute!

Multipath in WT has always been a gameplay over realism mechanic and there is nothing wrong with that.

Because that’s not all there is.

How do you think these vehicles do anything in the game except looking the way they do? It’s because all of these different models are used to represent real life mechanics and systems of such vehicles.

Tank needs to move. Drivetrain and traction models are needed.
Plane needs to fly. Aerodynamic model
Missile needs to track plane. Seeker model
Radar needs to see. Radar system model

Except it both ruins the gameplay and realism at the same time.
