If they were really really worried about that, then simply limit them to a fixed position with an explanation.
But this is kinda the point Im making with CAPTOR-E. if Gripen NG is added with a direct equivalent radar. Then its really hard to deny the EFT any more using the same argument.
(especailly given the EFT again, could get the CAESER from 2008. A much earlier AESA radar that would be largely on par with the Rafales)
Leaves the E for later weapon fits.
Like IRIS-T and Meteor and a few other bits.
Rafale, EFT, F-15, etc can all get a later variant for the same thing But the same doesnt really exist for the Gripen E
On the note of autocannon stuff i will say while i find it fun at times i also do not like that the entire 8.0 to 9.0 bracket has become the autocannon gang wars. And while i dont agree with it i can certainly see why some people want to remove AP belts from certain SPAA vehicles.

They have done so for Brimstone 1s and BOL. Not really sure why limiting CAPTOR-E would be all that radically different.
Especially given how buggy CAPTOR-M already is. it would be a massive buff even if it wasnt at full strength
The playstyle of these arty pieces feels quite contradicting compared ot IRL. Where they would usually be far far away IRL, up close is where they are super easy to play in WT.
They are kind of survivable and they require not a lot of aiming.
this 100%. I don’t encounter too much trouble from the 35mm AAs myself (besides maybe from the Itspv), but I understand why a lot of people find them frustrating.

if im not mistaken. The EFT litereally uses the same mechanism to angle the radar as the Gripen E.

It’s easy to deny a CAPTOR-E EFT at the same time as as the Gripen NG, as the Gripen would be a test for gimbaled AESAs because it has an inferior airframe.
Also, having a gimbaled AESA that can track at angles greater than 90 degrees would be disgustingly OP with the current notching mechanics ingame, which is probably why we won’t see either for a while.
