dont worry he’s bluffing
wtm is still in ww2 planes
Yeah I was confused since I played it for about half an hour a couple weeks ago, and I know for sure there weren’t any jets
Vanguard still has some quantity, although in 40mm Bofors not 25mm.
No matter what you are, 73x 40mm radar guided Bofors firing at you is gonna do something.
Yeah that too, but its the HE-VT that is really hard to dodge
not that big problem, it’s already meaningless to respawn planes in lower br with these cruisers, same for top.
Unless they add some kind of swarming attack for planes, maybe if/when carriers comes, AA won’t really matter for late US and UK battleships since they can deal with basically anything even with smaller batteries because radio fuse is pretty amazing
I never said she’ll be bad, but at a certain point quality stops mattering. In my testing I’ve found that Haruna is just as good as any other ship at taking down just about anything that flies. Supersonics not included, and God willing they never will be in normal matches.
And Yamato (and Iowa and Richelieu and Vanguard, etc…) have more and better AA guns than Haruna. No matter which new ship you’ll be in it’s a no fly zone. Do go into detail about it would just be splitting hairs I think.
Perhaps, but i’ve managed to evade ultra heavy barrages of AAA to get bombs off before with something like a Wyvern, but never if its something with HE-VT.
So they might as well add Phalanx to Iowa?
No crew bleed, more accurate, more concentrated, wider target set
Now that I think of it, @SPANISH_AVENGER would an 80’s refit Iowa class with “deactivated” missiles be better than WW2 one? They could do a 68 New Jersey if the Phalanx are a bit much
I’ll admit I haven’t played naval in a while, so something may have changed in the last year, but whenever I played any ship with actual AA and not the pathetic 7.62 MGs Gaijin insisted we had to use, I never once worried about getting bombed. The AI gunners are just too good (thank God, CAS crutchers stay losing), and the sheer volume that something like Yamato will be able to put up will be just… beautiful.
Well, for someone else, I’m not getting her.
Its good, but the AI fires where you will be, so if you keep changing direction, it keeps missing.
So you can trick it
I’m sure that works well for you, too bad it didn’t work for the people that tried to bomb me lol
But yeah they will all be hard to attack, just after the fiasko of Renown and then Warspite being denied HE-VT for balancing reasons despite 4x US BBs at the same BR with HE-VT. Vanguard fianlly getting HE-VT and not just 4" but 5.25" is gunna be awesome
Naval AI AA gunners is so stupid OP really you just need some few cannons on board and they’ll no scope 360 headshot a poor sap from 10km away…
Even if they nerfed accuracy, volume of fire and proximity fuse would shred aircraft
Then you’d have to buff back accuracy for radar guided AA emplacements
Gaijin just cant model AI AA in a fair way.
Look at Convoy SPAAGs in ASB. Those are instant reaction, aimbots that can and will shoot you through trees and even start pre-firing you behind a hill.
They should use search radar data and model crew looking around on different convoy vehicles. If SPAAG gets LOS while crew is looking in the general direction, they begin to react with a small delay, if other vehicles see it there would be a greater delay, and if they can hear the jet (may need better sound modeling) it puts them on a more alert state which makes their reaction quicker
Of course if they pick it up on radar it is a shorter delay, and longer delay for other SPAAG since there is some time between spotting and radio command to others
i mean no matter the ship, no planes will be able to really hurt them in any capacity, unless :
- you are a lancaster or a pe8 who climbed to the stratosphere and somehow managed to hit close to home
- The BB player forgot to assign his gunners
I feel like the best AA ships next patch are going to be :
- Iowa, because of the stupid amount of 40, 20s and 5 inches radar guided proxy fuze shells
- Richelieu, for the exact same reason, but you repace the 20x127mm by 12x100mm AA guns, and lose some 40 mm
- Vanguard, more or less for the same reason, but you replace the 20s + 100mm AA found on Richelieu or 20s + 5 inch found on Iowa with 5.25 inch VT slingers
talking of no fly zones, i think jean bart will do fine, because of this :
(All 57mm have HE with proximity fuze, and the 100mm were radar guided with time fuze shell and possibly proxy later on)
dont forget radar guided (late war i think) and proxy fuse 5in
