That’s already modelled
Ah ok, im newer to naval so im still learning. Hopefully they model them for all the new ships
Such as?
HMS Tiger is one that has the rapid lead updates, but none of Britains BBs or BCs have that and Im not aware of it on any others at this time and as far as I am aware, ranging information is always within about 200m and doesnt change from ship to ship and is instead based upon crew skill
Scharnhorst FCS
Ersatz Yorck FCS
I’m also waiting for the Japanese 356mm rate of fire to be increased to 25/27 seconds of reloading. Because according to many documents I found, they could issue such a reloading :)
Tank render range is 20 km. So 20 or 40 km doesnt matter. And from SPAA the planes derender past 12 km.
I honestly don’t think Yamato will be as crazy as people make it out to be especially with how the ammo placement is currently one good pen and it will be a one shot. Still its armor will be good and the guns will hit hard it will probably do well in EC mode a lot better.
Maybe a simple way to simulate Iowa’s superior FCS would be;
Fire solution calculation time: 5s
Fire solution update time: real time (like Arcade).
That way, it would have the absolute edge on FCS, which would make up for its weaker armor, particularly in the ingame engagement ranges.
Right, but it still only updates the range when the target moves closer or further away from you about 200m, which is what its like on the Hood with “100% accuracy”
So instead of that it could be more like 50m or something, and youd get overall more accurate and more regular amounts of ranging information.
If combined with the FCS on the HMS Tiger for example
BB and BCs with “advanced FCS” could be a step up over the current set. It would be very disappointing if Hood and Vanguard were identical in that regard
So you mean the fire solution update time?
Have we ever had a late blog like this before?
No. In game (at least NRB). The Range does not update on a time based interval, it updates based upon whether or not the target has moved closer or further away from you and only updates when it has moved enough to trigger an update.
So for example, if it says the range is 10km, and the target has moved 180m closer to you, it may still display 10km even though the actual range is 9.82km, but its not until its moved 200m closer to you that it will update to display 9.8km
With “Advanced FCS” that interval could be reduced to 50m instead
Anybody watching the youtube playlist to see if it updates?
Kings/Rulers/Lords of the Seas/Oceans?
Spoiler
PS: It’s Richelieu ;)
Good ideas, would all be good.
Thought i was missing something lol
You sure? Is this documented somewhere? To me it just seems to give an updated position estimate every interval
edit: nvm, just tested it on z4 zerstörer, it was only updating in sections of 120m
We don’t even have a teaser
I think he means devblog
when is the next update gonna drop?
