I think iowa will be the best all rounder

Kings of oceans or something like this
Endgame BBs are clearly the main thing about this update

Well who knows if WT universe takes place in Planet 4546A

Fairly well I think.

Yamato has a weakness in terms of being able to angle properly

HK’s explanation of this

Spoiler

and will be vulnerable to Vanguard’s Supercharge within 10km.

Bismark is gunna have the same weakness as Scharnhorst of having magazine in a semi vulnerable place

Vanguard is going to be tanky and aggressive, but gunna suffer from AAA bleed quite a bit

Not sure about Iowa, Roma or Richeliu

Right, but in-game, they could give the L/55 Leos M829A2 and it would have higher performance than DM53 currently.

TBF I was just going to link your reddit post for the breakdown but figured this was simpler

Good point, its weird seeing a major update focused around naval

If we are lucky, Vanguard will have 25 second reload. All British 15" should be at 25 seconds, but maybe they’ll finally do it on Vanguard

Naval is life.

Just get rid of those messy tanks and just play naval instead :P

“Steel Leviathan” seems great for update name.

Im nut super familiar with bluewter, whats aa bleed

Hitting secondary guns and AAA positions will kill crew count overtime and so ships with a lot of AAA can be quite vulnerable to just having their secondary guns hit over and over against.

I mean, the vanguard was unique in the sense that all of the anti air (i think all of it) could be controlled from one part of the ship so i dont think gaijin will model crew members there or add the bleed in a way

They can be controlled remotely but still needed to be loaded manually iirc.

Ah, heres to hoping

Yeah, in any case, I think they will be reasonably well balanced depending on exact details like what ammo gets added, shell dispersal for Yamatos 18" guns. All the ships reload rates, etc etc and will be down on people playing each ship to their strengths (like Vanguards will be in pushing an objective whilst Yamatos will be sitting in spawn)

We’ll also have to see what FCS get modeled, like Vanguards should be the most advanced in game assuming its not a Korean refit of Iowa that gets added.

So more advanced FCS could be an interesting mechanic to finally get added

How will that change the gameplay that much if gaijin chooses to model fcs

The main 2 additions (at least for BB/BCs) I can think of would be faster lead updates (like we see on ships like HMS Tiger) and faster/more accurate ranging information.

So for example in Vanguard that could be like having the lead indicator update in a second or 2 and the range to always be displayed within 30m of the targets range rather than the current 200m

FCS is already modeled on ships. It currently simulates ranging time, as well as synchronizing the turrets, along with other things I’m missing.
Yamato will have among the slower ranging times.
