@NCC105 since you’re knowledgeable on chinese vehicles, the suggestion mentions capability to fire AHEAD ammo but the only source afaik is 25/30/35mm ahead rounds being showed alongside it (i think?), so how does it program the round?
Vehicles like the PUMA/PGZ09 have a clearly visible round programmer on the end of the barrel, there’s nothing visible on the Type 625/630.

it is because its not true the F14’s were retired due to cost and the US government not wanting IRAN to get any parts from them (hence not producing spare parts anymore
AMRAAM entered service slightly after the F-14D in 1991. The Airforce got it more in 1992 though. I was talking about F-14D times, so before Aim-120 had been released.
It’s basically what the F-14D has, but worse in some cases like RWR and sensor integration. Oh, and the fact the AWG-9/APG-71 can burn through modern EW systems due to their sheer power. (Even when they weren’t intended to do so)

CL-13B is a different aircraft entirely (that’s at 9.0 not 8.7). It may be slower but it’s a low speeds monster, this thing likely will not be.
welp with the type 625 being the manpads version and the SLS there goes any hope for the UK to get a good SAM my money is on us not even getting a SAM or yet another 10.3 to 10.7 SPAA

The Superhornet program costed more than the entire F-14 program adjusting for inflation. Around 2.5x more expensive. Not including the regular hornet btw.

Hi! Just curious, it seems like from the community update, the rear view mirror have a different shape than the manpod version, but rather like a more advanced version, is it possible that we get two different version of 630?

to be fair i wouldnt say current F14B is on par with most 13.0s its rather dated frame F14D would make life so much easier
F4J has a better radar than F-14B ingame for some reason

yes it is possible to have the type 625 + HN6B as an equivalent of the 2s6 and the type 630 + FB10A as an equivalent of the pantsir
id def like to see the apperance of FB10 armed AA. HN6 struggles a lot these days.
