Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

they will probably get one J-15 as a tech tree variant and another one as a premium

Germgods getting 2 hornets, a double dose of karma for those saying we shouldn’t get them, and another hunter to boot.

The original J15 would be as the 14.0 BR jets, which is a better J11B, and then the J15T would be considered the best naval flanker in the future before we have F35/J35

Hope we can get harriers shoting down a4 and mirage, not il-2 or others

sure, too bad there are no type 42 frigates.

Yeah and to sad to dont have USS Phoenix (CL-46)

I dont know what youre trying to do here… Were talking about recreating a historical event, not creating a new one.

But anyway, we have the brooklyn. For now, well have to make do with it.

A-4? AV-8B? A-6? A-7 I think? F-8? F/A-18A C early and C late? F-4J?

those arent all within the same brackets as each other

Oh you mean top tier.

There’s still tomcats and hornets and harriers

IF the US had some more of its carrier craft, and more nations got their carrier craft, it would be better but atm very few things are even within the same bracket and several nations are missing their carrier aircraft

Yeah there’s a ton of A-whatevers and F-whatevers and still a couple F/A-whatevers left to add

altho a very much real issue is that even then if other nations got their carrier aircraft, it still wouldnt be great because really only the US made a insane investment into a carrier air force and can easily fill alot of brackets, but nations like the UK, France, and Russia simply just didnt make a whole lot

13.7 I think, not much better with 48 CM, and worse flight performance(just same as SU-33, maybe a little lighter) without new engine.

Add a couple more naval harriers and UK naval phantoms and problem solved

It really depends what functions they add and how they implement them,
The auto scan and lock would likely be a complete disaster, but the data link target designations for over the horizon launch could be implemented by letting scout drones lock and designate targets that would be data linked to the missiles, but they would need to remove their near immunity to AA to let people take the things out to defend them selves from it.
Alternately LOAL carriers could be given the ability to set an SPI on the mini map that would be the target point for the missile and it would auto acquire targets in that area, that would still have a chance to hit dead tanks and friendlies, but at least it would reduce the area the missile was looking in so it would reduce the RNG.
While I think it would be a neat system, I have serious concerns about it’s balance, we need more counters to F&F weapons, such as active/passive protective systems before they are given more functions. I also think all weapons that are shot down in flight need to give some reward, not just the massive bombs, as using all your SAMs on an SPPA to intercept missiles can save you team, but you get nothing for it.

And also a much better radar and weapons. It would be 14.0 minimum.

I’m curious how this will work with multi vehicle. Would you just get two trucks to drive around and swap between?

The LOAL seems nice to deal with helicopters instead of relying purely on optical and helis being stupid enough to fly high. That and hopefully datalink as well. Since ground radars are coded to be immune to multipath, their datalink will be really potent

basic J-15 should have almost same radar and weapons, just 2 more missiles, I think that can’t make up for the flight performance

they have multipath, but in SACLOS, you control the missile yourself so it’s not a problem
