The radar target lock boxes were said to have been added during Storm Warning for F-4 late modifications and the J35XS but were never present on release.
Against vikhrs it’s pretty useful, didn’t think about that. But I have a feeling it’s gonna become rather useless against SAMs pretty soon, now that they’re adding IR FnF SAMs. (Obviously it’s still gonna be relevant until everyone has an IR/RF SAM, but i don’t think that’s gonna be that long a time)
If they are relatively short range pitbull and can be guided via IRST or something until then instead of radar then they might be of some use. But yes, for the large part its a niche defence for now. But still nice to have
(Also things like 2S38 I think should trigger it but dont because… reasons)
Just wait untill all systems that use laser to determine range start pinging it.
Yeah, its annoying that systems like the Stormer that shouldnt trigger it do, but some like IRST on the Rafale and Su-30 right? Should but dont
You missed a thing. Stormer does not trigger while tracking, only while guiding. No laser bases system pings while tracking. Only laser beam riders/salh do. And lrf.
Yeah, but Stormer has a low intensity laser IRL. At least it certainly shouldnt ping the LWR in things like KA-52s iirc

Yes, but that is not a feature in game yet. If laser then pings. I don’t know if it was reported, or if it was blocked before it could, but there is no such feature as of now.

But yeah, there are things that should trigger LWR but dont and things that dont that do

I don’t see how that’s news. They didn’t say “all”, they said “several”, and indeed several will be added.

But ADATS is OP. it can kill tanks. The soviets are the ones that have been suffering for years with only the Pantsir to defend against AGM-65 and GBUs.
KH-38MT is of course one of the weakest top tier AGMs because the SU-30 is the weakest top tier fighter right now.

It is a shame that they are adding SPAA to at least 3 nations that had half decent SAMs already but 4 nations that have some of the worst (1 that doesnt even have a top tier SAM) dont appear to be getting anything at all
Considering the SLAMRAAM wasn’t on any of the leak lists it’s not news.
Just not great hearing it stated outright.
The ADATS is definitely not in a great spot… At least Germany and Sweden have their respective VT-1 slingers.
Supposedly, it could still come within the next 1.5 hours… but I think it’s too late already.
I will say Japan and Israel were in SEVERE need of top tier SPAA. But yeah I really hope Gaijin adds the SLAMRAAM this patch.
