Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

It shouldn’t have stabilizer, just like Italian M60A1. There are other options for higher brs, like Leopard and OF-40 Thetis for example.

As cool as Soyuz is, hope they Pr.82 ‘Stalingrad’ at some point. Easily the best looking Soviet ship.

I actually hope for this too, and if I recall correctly, it was laid down, so it should be possible under the current rules.

because its not soviet. thats quite simple, no?

I think we’ll get the teaser tomorrow. My bet is that we’ll get the Comanche blog, then the trailer will reveal Yamato, Bismarck, Iowa, and the F-2.

From what I’ve read, her hull was 70% complete.

I also recall seeing the model for it ‘leaked’ in some big asset dump like 3-4 years ago.

Ah yes, teaser on a saturday

It was in the 2.7.0.55 modelling leak, and has since been in Mobile for awhile. Definitely a possibility, but doesn’t seem to be coming this upcoming update.

That being said, its a little weird some nations arent getting new SAM systems, particularly when the available SAM systems are quite similar to the SLM.

Britain/Italy: EMADS (Sky Sabre for Britain, Grifo for Italy), 25/45km range ARH, 8x missiles.
France: VL MICA, 20/40km ARH or IIR, 4 missiles

Russia doesnt need anything new, as it doesnt really ever face anything that competes with the Pantsir currently seen in-game, and China is getting an approximate equivalent to it.

US could get SLAMRAAM, 12/35km range with up to 5 missiles (2xAIM-9X + 4xAIM-120), or it could get the multi-mission launcher (missiles kinda straddle the required range though, either firing stingers and 9X for sub 12km range, or firing Iron dome interceptors (70km)

Sweden afaik doesnt have anything beyond what its already getting

Gaijin likely consider Dual Mode Brimstone as accurate based on photos like this. Brimstone 2 (even if SAL only) really should be added though.

That’d be pretty easy to shoot down.

Well, seeing as ARH missiles from the early '90s had less than a 20% probability of kill… Maybe not.

We love cherry picking very niche ranks!

Yeah, they probably do.

But just going by the fact Brimstone 2s entered service in 2016, were first test fired on a typhoon in 2017 and entered service on the Typhoon in 2018, that the Typhoon should probably have Brimstone 2s not Brimstone 1s.

But theyd be so much easier to use than Brismtone 1s if still limited to SAL

OTO Malera torture, fitting nickname you have here, i will say X)

insane to me its been stated that the US probably isn’t getting an SPAA which almost certainly means the UK isn’t which also screws over Italy as they both use CAMM, which I don’t care if this upsets the German players they should have focused on CAMM over the SLM to have it for this update, Germany had a better SPAA then both Italy and UK and if they prioritized the CAMM it would have helped 2 nations instead of one

arguably the biggest sin here, both have systems that perfectly match the SLM for nations that needed it more yet only germany is getting the SLM

It will be a slow rollout for all nations, I don’t think Gaijin wants everyone to have SLM-tier SAMs on top tier, otherwise it will be extremely hard to balance. Maybe when planes get ARM/HARM ordinance to counter these systems in battles, they will. They most likely picked Germany to try out LOAL on the IRIS-T and see how it performs.

That kind of explains their latest fetish on basically revamping the american ADATS instead of moving on and giving another system.

Still doesn’t justify the absence of relevant systems for minor nations, including GB with their ADATS which haven’t seen such level of revamp as the US model.
