Spaas are never as game breaking as CAS.
Most spaas can only engange air targets. If there is no air targets they are useless.
It only brings back the focus to actual ground combat.
You still can play CAS. Most spaas only get spawned as an answer to CAS after the first one hit the map.
Not to mentiln u still can skim along the ground lvl. You only need to airfield spawn.
Its not about breaking game balance. Its about you needing to adapt and play differently

What would be the difference between these 2? Would it be like the US hornets where the baseline F/A-18 would be 12.7-13.0 with only AIM-7 and AIM-9 and the UG21 14.0 with AIM-120?

Yeah I just found that out, but that makes adding 2 Swiss Hornets in the same update super weird, especially if they don’t screw with the BRs.
“Hey guys here you have 2 Swiss Hornets. Just don’t mind that the first one is just completely worse at the same BR,. Have fun!”
I was really hoping that itd be a canadian hornet for the UK tbf, it also makes sense.

I mean the a-10 early premium and the a-10 late tech tree arent that mucj different either
2 extra 9Ls on the late. However this means that the early can see more flareless planes
Not realy, it doesnt, canada still isnt a subtree and uk already has 2 additional different trees it can source stuff from

2x 9L extra and 65D instead of 65B for the TT A-10A.
Still, this is a situation where 1 is a premium and the other is TT. In the Swiss Hornet case you would have 2 14.0 Hornets where the second is just objectively better.
The first Hornet would legit just be a 400k RP grind barrier to get to the good aircraft, unless the base one is an event vehicle.

I think it’s like finish f18. Essentially air to air only and ug21 and mlu2 are upgrades to give it hmd and case and few other upgrades
lets be honest all the indian stuff that’s going to be added to the tree are going to be event/premium. Australian stuff has been going to either the US or UK (M1A1 AIM for example)

yeah but we never used fox 1’s we only ever had the aim9p + upgrades 9x and a few aim 120 variants
Kinda sad that the only representation India gets in game is either copypaste or locked behind events/premiums
And it stops UK from getting more indigenous stuff and tech from others subtrees
