Better RWR too. But yeah that’s about it, btw I checked and there was a JASSM-ER order for Japan in 2023 not sure if they have arrived yet (surely at least a couple have)
worse maneuverability
Honestly i’m not sure which C was being compared, i’ll try to find the source but it was some offhand blurb in some report about the J/APR-4 being equivelent to the ones used in american F-15Cs. And we have stuff talking about it being upgraded various times since (The J(M) in game should use a J/APR-4B), and the F-15J can technically have the -4A, although its understandable it only has the base -4.
It would be on par with a F-15C Late
New radar, MAWS, and new missiles.
What MAWS?
US F-15EX MAWS?
Only slightly, the engines and FBW make the flight performance difference practically negligible.
the F-15C has MAWS, so yes… lol
IIRC there was talks about getting the new pylons, so it could run 12x amraams like the other advanced eagles (maybe).
What MAWS? Seriously, which MAWS does it get ive never heard of this before
Ooh then it would get FBW (iirc need FBW to run the outer pylons)
Yeah it gets all the new electronics and their programs, hence why JP missiles don’t work on it, cause the US doesn’t wanna let japan mess with their shiny new electronics. (This has not stopped japan in the past, the US never approved the AAM-4’s installation on the F-15J in the first place, lmao.)
F-15C’s didn’t even get the EPAWSS upgrade though, it got canceled
because it dosent
it has the mounting points for it at the cockpit for example, but there arent any sensors in it
Yeah ik that’s why I was confused
Nevermind just checked and the FBW specifically isn’t being upgraded, although the other programs on the central computer are? I dunno what this means for 12x amraams.
Most likely will remain as talk then.
Some special test F-15’s used the outer hardpoints but they caused issues so no combat coded hydraulic F-15 uses them afaik, and those that do are all FBW
Yeah my bad, apparently only stations for sensors are built into the F-15EX (leftover design from the F-15QA), but the US hasn’t installed sensors for MAWS yet.
