Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

o.O weaponry will be on par yes

just the airframe is in an entitely diffrent League than the Jaguar

remember this is an F5 based aircraft, a Nimble light fighter although slower than the competition

the Jaguar is Literally a flying Brick made for bombing… that’s also slower than the competition

I think you’re underestimating just how big a difference there is between this and other aircraft at 12.0+

compare it to the Mirage F1 for example at 12.0, the F-5A(G) has 42% as much thrust, far fewer CMs, no radar, and a much worse RWR.

The F-5A has enough thrust to keep it high subsonic so long as it doesn’t turn too much, which is good at 10.7, but at 12.0 that just isn’t enough, if it does get 4 AIM-9L/I then 12.0 is as high as it should be really, it loses in every metric besides the missiles because of just how dated the airframe is

it has good protection but its slow

the same applies to the Jaguar IS, Just the Jaguar is has worse energy retention and Manouverability

thr F5T-SCU and F5E-OCU with AiM-9P4 and Python 3 are both 11.3 and so is the Jaguar IS with Magic 2

the F5A(G) has to be a Higher BR now because it gets AiM-9Li-1s which (should) have a Better IRCCM than AiM-9M
the count is unknown until the Blog for it comes out but 4 definitely are possible

these missilea at 11.7 on a Fighter would be a Previously untold Powercreep

at 12.0 we’re talking Phantom FG.1 and F-104S.ASA
11.7 is MiG-23MLD territory

I doubt the turret is well armoured

They both have quite a bit more thrust, as well as a radar and better RWR, one has 4 missiles while the other has HMS.

So, I stand by the fact that if it only gets 2 missiles it should be 11.3 and if it gets 4 then 11.7 would be best, though I would expect 12.0 in that case.

Also, they’re just AIM-9L/Is not L/I-1, it was a typo on the post that has been corrected now

There’s no difference between the AIM-9L/I and AIM-9L/I-1 in game, anyway, so it wouldn’t matter.

well they’re still 9Lis

and 11.3 is a BR where Regular 9Ls aren’t to be found on any semi competitive airframe, even the other 2 F5s there don’t get that

You seem to be confused, there are only 2 F-5s at 11.3 and they both get Python 3s, and given that the F-5s are the only fighter aircraft to get such good IR missile at that BR speaks to how poor an airframe the F-5 is, and those like I said are F-5Es with about 50% more thrust, radars, and improved RWR, as well as either extra missiles or HMS. Given that, I’d still say with only 2 missiles the F-5A(G) belongs at 11.3

Both get Python 3s.

cheers, missed that

I reckon it’ll be 11.7, however the flight performance may bring it down to 11.3.

Honestly, I expect the same, 11.7 with 2 missiles and 12.0 with 4, but that flight performance is going to be so poor compared to everything else at the BR. I just hope they do something fun with the Penguin, it’s supposed to be sea skimming and the version they’re adding should have a radar altimeter so it should in theory be ground hugging, which could be really interesting for countering SPAA

The Penguin is the main reason I’m interested in it, so hopefully it has all of its features.

Terminator is one of those things that i want just for meme reasons. In any case, i feel like the concept of a heavy infantry support vehicle is sound given the nore distributed way tanks are being used now.

Thank you, i also Agree that the Event Star should be reworked =)

Yeah, i think if they made it cheaper, more people would buy it and thus making them more profit in the long run.

Its basically a win-win for both parties in the end.

And yet the sub tree rework hasn’t passed considering the amount of support it has

Not passed even with staff have seen it with almost 500 and even more focus on sub trees this year.
Plus the current sub tree implementation as shown it hurts nations more than it helps them.

But yet this barley got 50 votes not even enough to full a pub and it get’s passed

The good part though is that the topic stays open for ideas for improvements so that once it is passed it can be the best possible version!

It’s a nice suggestion though, I’ve always wondered why it wasn’t more like this in the first place. The price dercreasing proportionally to the work put in seems like a good change.
