Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

The J-10B wouldnt offer much over the J-10A right now tho, especially because the more modern missiles wont be introduced yet. The difference between the J-11A and J-11B is way bigger in terms of armament and avionics

Since it’s based on the F-15E’s radar it should be…

Yak-41 wasn’t paper?

the only thing I am interested in is the PESA radar, judging by what other forum users have replied to me previously, they’d rather see the crappy J-11B block 2 than the J-11BG with AESA so i’d rather have a fighter that’s more to my playstyle, is more unique, has a better radar and is a single engine delta-canard

It shouldn’t have IRST on nose

the CAPTOR-M rightfully blows the F-15E radar out the water (and should do in game but gaijin models it like the SHAR one)

Nothing about the J-11B would be crappy and as far as I know, the J-10B doesnt get a PESA yet. The J-11BG could of course already be added too but it would still get the same missiles as the J-11B would get for balancing reasons most likely

Im 99% sure there is and also if not u can add the spyder with only thos missiles and when there is need u can add the p5 and derby er

I’d rather have a modern flanker with an ESA to keep up with rafale, than a flanker with an M-scan that’s just about as good as the F-15C

J-10B gets PESA from production, J-10C gets AESA and J-10A has M-scan

as long as it has PL-12s and PL-8Bs then it’d be just fine

The scan rate is 90° degrees at best at worst is 70° degrees

Oh yeah, I just checked again it’s 80 degrees/per second. I confused my terminations and thought the scan rate was a digital thing.

Similar to what happened to the 122s, 2A7s and PSO’s UFP.

Those were never service aircraft though, and neither has the full planned capability, the Yak-141 was planned to used R-77 and the AJ-16 was advertised with 8 missile pylons

The F-14D did undergo AIM-120 testing on pylons 1B and 8B, with documented photos and reports. While it never reached operational service with the missile, it was more than just a ‘what-if’ concept like the Yak-141’s R-77 capability or the F-16AJ’s loadout.

Isnt it a training aircraft?
I dont think it will be added for israel

it can carry more armament than some of the israeli fighter jets

is its radar and tws not better?

Yes however as a service aircraft the rules are stricter on what it can receive, most everything about the 141 and AJ is made up, the F-14D isn’t the same.

The F-14D also already has plenty of upgrades over the B, the AMRAAM is not necessary
