Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

yes and i dont rember airforce using f18

So does the F-22 belong after AV-8B+ because it has a strike capability

no of course but f14b remains an f14, just improved, while the superhornet is quite a different aircraft from the hornet, although based on it. If you wanna take examples like that, the F-15E is an F-15C with air to ground capabilities yet it’s in a different line and doesn’teven require grinding the F-15 at all

by l44100s logic yes

the YF-17 was a program. The F/A-18 was another, based on the YF-17 ok but still another program. You can’t change what the hornet is based on what the cobra was supposed to be…

id say we just put both hornets after F14B and folder them under eachother

so you’re saying the YF-17 was a prototype?

then folder f14B under A and add f14D also raise max br to 16.7

TRIPLE KILL. a

I dont get why people still think its pre set schedules when the update we are currently on dropped so fast, that the vehicle XP bonuses werent even active on the previous updates vehicles for half the update

yes it was lol the yf17 was literally the competitor of the yf16 and lost, the navy just turned to northrop and said hey what about you work for us instead?

my question is could we get tech demo planes in like F18 havarr and f15 stol mtd just give them standard carried weapons

that’s another possibility which is valid indeed, but I like the idea of putting stuff under the attacker line to prevent holes

The column hosting the AV-8B+ isn’t characterized by all the planes being used by the airforce.
That column is defined by hosting attack aircraft, which the F/A-18 partially is.

Since the F/A-18 has been operated both as a carrier and airfield based aircraft and historically more as an attacker than as a fighter it could go into both the Navy column (the one with the F-14) and/or the attacker column like the AV-8B+ and the AV-8C.

There are schedules for sure. But that doesn’t mean the update must fall on a particular date simply because it did last year. As I mentioned earlier with the exception being the final winter update as that is dependent on when we can deploy a large update over the holidays before it becomes impossible due to platform restrictions.

It’s understandable where the assumption comes from however when people look solely at the spreadsheet of past dates without context or understanding they are not fixed to the exact same dates each year.

Nonetheless, it feels like this conversation happens every major (“Omg it’s late!” Or “wow this early?”).

maybe as premiums or event vehicles but imo it’s not a good idea to clutter the tree with prototypes in a nation that doesn’t lack anything anywhere. Prototypes are good at filling holes

oh i see your point

yeah tbh that’s half why I prefer the scheme I explained, otherwise putting everything under F-14 would be much less controversial and simpler

Ok sure but can u give us some leaks?

Ever seen a community manager leak something on the forums?
