well yeah because the UK isnt going to be the one exporting F-35. its a lockheed product
i do agree with them being a bit too restrictive. itll backfire in some capacity im sure.
maybe the AIM-260 is just that much better than meteor, and they are trying to stop other country from getting invested in meteor so they wont have to interrupt existing logistics to sell AIM-260
Or maybe Meteor is much better than Aim-260 and the US want to force the sale of Aim-260s for the nations with F-35s, especially as many already use Meteors on their existing aircraft
I would argue that China getting any of Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Cambodia would be fine. They already have a lot of Pakistani vehicles, and the vehicles they can get from Bangladesh and Cambodia seem to fit their style of vehicles.
Iran going to the USA wouldn’t make much sense outside of the vehicle they actually got (the F-14A IRIAF). According to the long term leak list we got last year, Iran would more than likely go to Russia - and I assume the F-14A is simply the exception there.
Long Term Leak List (October 2024):
Zimbabwe going to the UK at least makes some sense on a geopolitical level. Zimbabwe is a former colony of the British Empire - meaning it’s adjacent to the claims of the Commonwealth. The UK got South Africa, Canada, and many Aussie vehicles for having closer ties of course, but we can understand where Gaijin is coming from by giving the UK one of their domestic designs from their former colony.
Being a subtree doesn’t necessarily mean that all vehicles of that nation is going to be added. Pakistani F-16 could be added since it can use their domestic ARH missiles. That makes it kind of unique.
They do but that doesnt mean you can sell it.
My understanding is the Block 1 to 3 ASRAAM uses the same seeker as the 9X. Which the US has put a block on. Which is why MBDA ASRAAM block 4 has a new seeker which uses no components/technology from the USA and can be exported freely.
And they proceeded to remove ir from the store and not even bring it back r GE, so it’s effectively removed from the game lmao
I wonder if its because they plan to implement Spain at some point, which would find VRCC on the regular tree, since otherwise the removal of VRCC makes no sense at all…
If every year updates come between Date (X) and Date (Y), I get why people would talk about delays when we are getting close to Date (X) without a dev blog, teaser or leak at all this year.
Yeah, I know the whole “updates can’t be late because they aren’t officially scheduled beforehand” technicality, but… you know what I mean, hahah.
“Coming late” in the sense that it’s taking longer than usual =/= coming late regarding an official schedule
