It’s a guess, but if we assume what you’re saying is true then that would make its addition to the UK more like the German Hunter, and we could reasonably take it as evidence for Australia becoming a future British Subtree.

Uk only received indiginous australian vehicles until now, import vehicles like the abrams went to the US.
F-111C is an exception which doesnt count because it was a pity addition cause the F-111K was never finished.
As of right now any other australian import vehicles like kf41 (which they even declined in the trials) tiger, ah-64 would go to their developer nation.
The australian boxer could go to germany and Uk out of the single reason germany has the same variant themself already in service. The australian one possibly being a squad or premium.
The australian redback could go to UK as well, cause korea isnt a thing yet in war thunder either.
TLDR: australia and canada arent subtrees only their indiginous stuff was only ever added to the UK

I’m well aware, however if Australia in particular is ever added as a subtree, it couldn’t reasonably be to anyone but Britain at this point, so when we talk about the addition of Australian Hornets for example, the only place they make sense is Britain, given that the US doesn’t need Identical vehicles to what it has in its own tree.
If you have a read of the Australian Lynx suggestion, you’ll see that I’m fiercely against that being added to the UK, not because it’s a German vehicle, but because Australia never adopted it, like you said the Redback would make much more sense.
Like I said, there is an argument that could be made for Canada, but then the only other sensible option is the US, who even with no subtrees has more vehicles than the UK and its subtrees combined, so there is no argument for adding Canada to the US over the UK if we’re adding them at all, and if we’re not adding them then there is no place for most of their vehicles anyways and they shouldn’t be added.
or just added as skins for US F/A-18A, or even event vehicle with the ASRAAM for US (which we helped integrate onto their hornets)
