Also, people really like to say things will be DoA, but the F-2 won’t be, the F/A-18 won’t be, they may not be meta, but they’ll be competitive aircraft, hardly unplayable by any means

I’m pretty sure the F-2 has hardpoints for only six A2A missiles, which is already less than the average count of other fighters at top tier. Thrust-to-weight ratio is comparable if not slightly worse than the F-16C. It’ll have a good radar but depending on if Gaijin decides to give it HMD or not (irl it is still in the process of integrating HMD) it’s not going to be amazing.
Perhaps it needs something like AAM-4B and that HMD.
