Unfortunately there’s a lot of intentional and non-intentional self-delusion that Britain still rules Canada, or that it’s part of the British Empire. The British Empire is basically just some some small islands scattered in the middle of the world’s oceans at this point.
Ask they Canadian government who can’t declassified document without British permission, despite the UK declassified document of the same vehicle.

Theres a sodoff size * in there though. From the 80s onwards there was a major push into Omanisation of the Oman Air Force. Not to even touch on the mercenaries branching of the Oman Air Force in the first decades.
Also that “British Royal family” bit is errr wow shall we say. The US fields more pilots then anyone, do we call our air force American? Or “the presidents uk air force?”
Theres a massive tie between Oman and the UK militarily in helping to secure the country, its education and advancement in air warfare, no need to go into that weird road.
