i would be fine with the Gripen E’s coming with the same missiles equipped with only AIM-120B’s and AIM-9Ms, the IRIS-T coming would throw more problems given it has at least 50Gs of pull in regards to public, non classified materials, and having a ramjet missile like the meteor missile would be like adding the R-27EA to the game, as much of a fun time it would be for the players to skewer themselves with equipment like that, i feel like way bigger maps for top tier air are needed for that level of equipment.

R-73 can be flared and MICA can be chaffed/notched/multipathed. IRIS-T is near unflareable.

Otherwise i hope we will not see soon missiles like meteor, it should be locked to another air mode because there is no way that it would be fun.
Better IR missiles should be the way, since it’s what everyone is talking about when they are talking about the rafale because most jets don’t have good enough missiles for dogfight.
For me, gaijin might decompression max BR to 14.3 or 14.7 before add AIM-2000/RB 98 to replace RB 74(M) & AIM-9M on JAS 39 Gripen C for 2 countries

I want another 4th gen IR Air-to-Air Missile before the early 5th gen IR Air-to-Air Missile
But the early 5th gen IR Air-to-Air Missile lack datalink & LOAL capabilities, especially early 5th gen IR missile from USA & Russian
tbh we are probably closer to meteor/r37/aim120d , than irist/aim9x/asraam. one has a 90-100% kill rate while the other is just fox3s on steroids with mor range maybe its a bit harder to notch/fool but it wont have a higher kill rate than modern ir missiles.
modern ir missiles will have 90-100% hit rate , if you get in range you just point&click and you wont be able to dodge them if they are modelled properly , while meteors/r37/aim120d can still be evaded by notching/chaffing.
My friend the Gripen C is a great and one of the top jets in the game…are you really asking for this top jet to get missiles that put the 27ER vs 7M debacle to shame in comparison 😧

kinda new to the game but I’m assuming long range missiles are not in the game for a good reason
We have long range its just we aren’t at 5th gen missile yet

Completely read that wrong my bad, current Fox 3’s are long range and at correct altitudes AIM 120’s can hit at 40km, MICA can hit best within 16km, R77 best within around 8km and same with Derby. AIM 54 and Fakour 90 can hit at 60km and at altitude an R27ER (fox 1 btw)can hit at 30km (just barely)
Also Sedjeel(fox 1) can hit at about 40km

the mica ain’t really long range though irl it’s short and middle range
