Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

It’s a similar situation with the 2A7V, with it having 2 Improved internal armour, which is the same as the 2A4.

Remember, split air-ground BRs exist.

I was planning to use it as a multi role in sim. With 4 all aspect IR missiles it can still do this so even if it gets 4x PL-5C instead of Python’s or even PL-12 it’ll just mean I can multi role the same airframe at a lower Br.
for me personally there are no losses whatever they give (as long as it gets 4x all aspect missiles one way or the other)

Leclerc SXXI should have internal armor reinforced with titanium bar too, but all we have is like some mm more on the gunner side.

But at least there is some armor update between the first 2a4 and 2a7, Leclercs all have the same armor in wt xD

Cant wait in 10 years to see the Leclerc Evolution in WT with same armor as the S1 (and with the same shell, of course)

This has nothing to do with the air ground BRs exist, because 11.7 is a possible air combat BR based on JH7A. Compared with JH7A, JH7 lacks precision guided ground weapons and a pair of attachment points to mount PL8, which means that it only has two PL5C missiles and various ordinary bombs, just like the German Tornado fighter pack.

I’m sure it doesn’t have the AMRAAM but the Sky Sword II’s the close Taiwanese equivalent. I think there are basically 2 versions, the A/B from the 1990s onward and the C/D from the 2010s onward with better Sky Sword IIs, anti-radar Sky Sword IIs as well, and a stand off cluster weapon that looks similar to a Storm Shadow/Scalp/Apache.

It is literally using the Leopard 2A6EX Demo 2 hull

Decompression max BR to 15.0 in 2026. My guess

I guess 2 years

Wait a week or so.

sadly, it seems prem JH-7 only 2 pl-5c.

it’s based on aim-7, so maybe more close to aam-4

Not this week

Where did you get this info?
Are you assuming it’s an early model with only 2 missiles or do you have information the rest of us doesn’t have?

It could be JH-7(not A)

Ah I see. Yeah the leak saying it’s premium and the riddle leak both don’t specify which version.
Which can mean it’s the first version with only 2 AAM hard points which coincidentally doesn’t have a letter specification in it’s official name.

I gotta agree, it does look like there is a big chance we’ll get that version. If so, then I’ll probably pass on it. Basically a slightly better German Premium Tornado then since it has IFF and handles better but overall more of the same “bomber only” play style you can really do with it. Not spending 70/75 bucks for that.

The basic JH7 does not have any guided weapons, only bomb and rocket can be used for CAS.Besides, only AShM YJ-81 is available to long-range attack.
In recent years, the upgraded JH7 can use AShM that composite(Radar / IIR) guidance methods such as YJ-83K/YJ-83KH.This means that they can use infrared images to lock and launch missiles within a certain distance.
(JH-7 with YJ-83K)

Gaijin may not equip it with this missile for BR balance.

Basically a Chinese version of the German premium Tornado. Pretty cool, but just not there in terms of (fun) playability.
Hard pass for me.
If they’d make it a JH-7A copy paste, or even a slight nerf without the PL-8’s, then it could still be playable as something else than a bomb truck.

To be fair, the thing that worries me the most is that France might receive Leopard 2A6(M)A3s, which, although are indeed being used the 43rd Mechanized Brigade, are a property of the Bundeswehr (they even use German insignias while in training).

In reality the Dutch can only use them because the 43rd Brigade & 4th Company are subordinate to the 1st Panzer Division and the 414th Battalion, otherwise the Royal Army would be left with no MBTs to use.

It’s a sort of wacky lend.

It is, but it’s a price both nations have to pay to bring their Armed Forcer closer until the eventual full integration can occur. Also, to drive the point home about the A6(M)A3s being a German property:

This is a tank that belongs to the 4th (Dutch) Company of the 414th (German) Battalion, the license plate is literally German. There’d be so much wrong with it being added to the French TT.
