KNDS is like a lovechild trying it’s best to make it work between France and Germany that argue over what they want to much.
They’re very precious and must be protected at all costs.

The issue with this canadian leo is the british and German fight for one side the british mians use the commonwealth as a way to add it and German mains use the argument that is a leopard and, at some point i’ll agree britain can get commonwealth but if a tank has multi national origin then it could be good as commonwealth but if a vehicle its made by one country to another, no specially mbt’s, LAV 3 its a good option

Depends on if it gets the APS system that it would have gotten. I don’t think it would be as good without it.
KNDS insu making things work in either side. There’s still the KNW core for German projects and Nexter core for French ones. They barely have any common project between the French and German branches. Also, AFAIK, it’s mainly the French part of KNDS working with Rheinmetall on the MGCS (but I might be wrong on that)
From now on, I will refuse to call the major update by its official name, and instead refer to it as “Deja Vu” update.

Turret is close to MSC turret (early prototype of the turret) as it’s a strip down version of the Leclerc turret (almost no armor), but yeah would be fun with some OFL 120 G1 at like 10.3-11.0
That’s definitely a weird situation.
Rheinmetall doesn’t have the rights to use the Leopard 2, if anything Rheinmetall and Nexter are competitors. It’s why the KF51 is only a technical demonstrator as they still have to design something that isn’t a reskinned Leopard 2.
But Nexter is allowed to have the Leopard 2 for the MGCS with KNDS.
Are they 9.7 to 11.7 materials cause that’s what Smin said devs will add. If they add Leo 2s, I will reply to Smin and ask him questions about the update while calling it “Deja Vu”

Quick correction, Nexter “does not exist anymore”. I’ve talked with a few people there, and the Nexter name is only for people to correlate the French part of KNDS to what it used to be before the merger (Nexter), but otherwise Nexter officially does not exist anymore. However there still is a barrier between the French and German branch. It’s a bit like at MBDA where France make their own missiles and the rest of Europe make other, and they don’t share much but the name, and yet we don’t call them Matra anymore
