My understanding is that it was understood as a suicide mission. Volunteers only.
I dont know a lot, its probable. Middle of the Atlantic, no chance to return to land, even surviving the ditch, doesnt gurantee that youd be picked up. Though I think the merchant ships did try

Masters of the Sea had 20.
Night Vision had 18.
Weapons of Victory had 14.
1.43 also had 14.

Holy moly that a lot. It was mainly due to people saying a nation can’t get between like 3-6 premiums in one update.
Needs to be put into perspective if the update in question. Apex for example launched Rank VII packs.
Masters of the Sea had 3 naval trees all at once and naturally premiums for all of them.
Night Vision launched the Chinese air and ground trees together.
So its not a set “rule”, but depends on the circumstances of the update itself.

dude that honestly would be funny for tiny vehicles like this, you could airdrop them in any place in the battlefield lol
even without Helis you can still Airdrop a Wiesel from a C160, C130 or A400
i’ve seen helis perfectly able to use a pulley mechanism to pull the wiesel up with no issues
Also things like flying a Chinook into the middle of the battle to resupply nearby tanks or even just straight up picking up and carrying tanks cross map. Would need a ground EC gamemode for that last bit though
