I know there are things you can’t say. My criticism is the policy that decides where that line between what can and cannot be said.
Which is the current policy that I am disagreeing with because I believe it is overly cautious and lacking transparency.
I believe the risks are not so bad as the gains.
My opinion on the matter, you aren’t obliged to implement it. I’m very grateful to be having this discussion with you, thank you for your time! (British problems where you can’t help but sound sarcastic even if you really don’t want to.)
Of course. I think the lulls between the patch cycles are fine. Although it could be cool to have dev-blogs like “Here’s how we make vehicle models!” or “Here’s how we prepare for tournaments!” and so on. Just my personal suggestions or opinions.
I fully trust and believe you are as open as policy permits.
I contest the policy and not you or any other staff.
It’s my personal belief and I argue for it, that this policy creates a bunch of issues that may not be immediately obvious. I am raising those issues here because I am passionate about the game and care that those issues are dealt with appropriately.
I, and I am sure many others, are grateful for your reassurances. I’m not concerned anything major will happen or anything, I only opined that it seemed the patch cycle is planned as a bit later than usual.
If I were to hazard a guess, I would imagine that the implementation of ARH alongside the usual quantity of content is requiring more developer time than previous 2nd majors of each year.
Lucky we not ran into each other yet because I won’t kill ya, I stay on your 6 just to annoy you lol.

I fail to see any gains from publishing the internal release dates for either the update or the devblogs.
“Hey we are going to show something at this date”
“We are going to release the major update at this date”
And then when they fail to meet the self imposed deadline, because that’s how software development works, people are going to call them liars and so on.
EDIT: or they put the date so far in the future that they are sitting on finished blogs for weeks, again not wwhat you want

Exactly why it’s best to wait generally until something is almost certain before announcing. Even then, things can still change.
