Mmh. the guns bit would make sense. But KGVs were limited to 35,000t as per the treaties. Lion was significantly larger than that.

Yeah but if they can pump out 5 ships in like 3 years and all of these dockyards had capacities to like 50,000 tonnes at minimum, surely they can produce 2 and then gear up to produce 4 more. (6 Lion class is a RN dream).

France was working on the 140mm concept and made the T4 turret to accommodate it.
When it fell through the turret was saved by putting it on an old engineering vehicle and is used as a display.
The 140mm is back though with the ASCALON gun being developed for the MGCS, as it fits France’s requirements.
Germany has their own 140mm and it used an autoloader as well. The Panzer 87 also tested the 140mm as well, if they get that or not is the question.

Oh we know, but it’s one of the few somewhat seriously (If Jackie Fisher the madman has his way) considered ships to mount 20" guns.
We will never see it in-game, the highest the uk peaks at is 16 inch guns but with superheavy, supercharged shells.
