Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

They only newly built that is actually in production is the Leopard 2

Main Ground Combat System:

Frnce, Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden. Even if Germany and Frnce lead the project, the tanks would most likely be produced locally for each nation’s armies.

Poland could have been interested too, but judgigng by the trillion SEPv3s and K2s they just got, I doubt it anymore xD

Edit: what?

Armata, VT-4, Type 15, M10 ring a bell?
Type 10 is only 12 years old and in production.

sidenote: does anyone know why the US named the M10 after a Bioshock character?

M1A2 Sepv3s atleast for Poland are newly produced.

To be fair most of the criticism of that thing comes from one idiot on youtube who doesnt cite his sources and sics his followers on actual field experts when he’s called out.

Its probably not a great tank but common sense says its not a soapbox car either.

Right now only Germany and France are in the project

There are more new non-tank things(apart from aircraft) starting to be built then tank things as it is cheaper.

Damn right, trench warfare is the future!
Soon we’ll be right back to the A7V and Mark IV.

Every single time I say something someone flags it, this is getting annoying af

M10 is a light tank at best it isn’t a MBT
VT-4 isn’t a whole new design
Armata isn’t even in production

I want to stick a turret onto it. Probably an SPAA one but an anti-tank or anti-infantry wouldn’t be bad.

Irrelevant, you said new tanks, not new MBTs.

I consider that a apc, right?

Time to ditch the MBT and return to Light, Medium and Heavy.

It’s both cheaper and better.

I consider it green

I don’t believe it’s you know a soapbox car or what either. But, talking about is kinda hard without people going full loving of it or full hatred against it.

Also a really dumb fact about me: I legit thought that was a prototype when I saw the T-14 Armata (When cause the whole internet got scared about it.)

uhhh- Yes? I’m 90% sure that’s how it’s to be used.

It’s just listed as an “Armoured Car”

The idea of the mbt is that its a heavy tank with the mobility of a medium.

Light tanks can exist just fine in a world of mbts.

Its almost like the old division between breakthrough tanks and cruiser tanks.
