In regards to being a sub-tree for France, they could quite well provide on both these fronts. Your view is skewed towards ground only, as previously shown in the vehicles you took as examples.
I also completely agree they shouldn’t be in the French tree: they should be in an independent Benelux.

It’d be fine with Swiss being split up. I still don’t really understand why one nation needs to always under the same host nation when the matchmaker jumbles everything anyways.

Perhaps if it’s very popular they’ll do the same as Israel. Start in France and then become it’s own tree. That way I can have Dutch vehicles in two trees since by that time I’ll have them all in the French tree. Yay.

There is nothing wrong with holding this view.
The problem is that you take only this limited view and extrapolate it across the entire tree, leading to an unrepresentative outlook. Not only that, but trying to spread this outlook to others is also harmful.
