Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

Well the cool things is both are not exactly the same.

France plan to use a domestic new 140mm while Germany stick to the 130 (but it’s only just “planned” things for now so who know).

So 99% the same tank but still some cool differencies between both countries.

That’d be an interesting dynamic.
Would give separate appeal for both :D

i mean, i am making no point, i am just saying that the belgium part of benelux is more intresting, i dont know why u are so fixated on saying dutch is better or what ever u are trying to do

and again like i said earlier, fennek is a bad example, because its implementation or use in war thunder is questionable

again, not downplaying it, just comparing it to belgium

the only real ground vehicle u named was the M109 with PZH2000 cannon , which certainly is intresting and a goofy modification i dont fight that

It is much less interesting than Belgium. For France there’s really only 4 vehicles that Netherlands could bring:

  • a CV9035 which will probably end up in the Swedish TT through Denmark
  • a Leo 2A6 with a 3rd gen CITV instead
  • an AMX 13/105 (which should be in France anyway)
  • a more mobile Centurion Mk5 with a L7

Fenneks are useless for France since France already has enough armoured cars to make a tech tree bigger than Israel currently by themselves. Netherlands can go to Germany and even then the Germans are getting the (much) shorter end of the stick.

u are on the wrong vehicles, that is the MGCS u are talking about. the EMBT 2018 is a german france collaboration to put a leclerc turret on a leopard 2a7v chassis.

the embt 2022 is a completly new turret but still 120mm cannon i think on a leopard 2a7v chassis

The optional 130mm or 140mm is only planned for the final mgcs tank

If that’s the case, i can see Gaijin using NeLux for premium/events things, and Be for the TT.

Oh ok my bad.

But i have always in mind than the MGCS is the evolution of the EMBT, and that this EMBT was just for showing easily the coop between both country by just putting a Leclerc’s turret on a Leopards hull.

not quite the same, EMBTS mostly are a show of french german collaboration, while they might integrate some more tech in the embt 2022 they by far arent the final mgcs yet.
Considering the mgcs is supposed to get a new chassis etc as well

Dunno how gonna look the EMBT but i’m all #TeamMGCS.

of all the pictures u took an computer animated one xD , but yeah either way the EMBTS would already make a realy great addition to the french line up and a good one to the german one

It’s really only Netherlands… Luxembourg adds nothing in and of itself. Which is why Netherlands Germany and Belgium France makes the most sense.

The reason why I am defending the Dutch case is because you said that it’s “mostly German and Swedish stuff”.
I clarified that this is (arguably) only the case for ground, but more than anything this just highlights your continued fixation on top tier.
I even gave some examples of local vehicles to add to the fact that even in ground they are more than you make out to be.
I indeed agree that Belgium is the more interesting part, but that doesn’t mean one should be disingenuous and ignorant towards what they are talking about, especiallu when knowing better than that.

I find this to be a null point. It assumes Gaijin gravitates towards the most unique stuff, which is obviously false.
Again, this is more emblematic of what you would like to see rather than what could happen.
There is nothing wrong with wishing for something before other stuff, but to say it’s addition would be “questionable” as a fact is ridiculous.

You didn’t really do that I’m afraid.

I named five vehicles, of which three would have several different variants in the Benelux tree concept.

YP-408 is a completely domestic APC that can be armed with recoilless rifles and ATGMs.
YPR-765 is a local M113 modification that can be armed with ATGMs or an IFV turret with 25mm cannon
Fennek and Boxer you are familiar with.

Funny how it takes me calling you out to acknowledge even one of these…

i mean, i never said otherwise or fought those accusations, its the most intresting part of the game, brings in the playerbase and is the money maker

gajin gravitates to reusable models, which the fennek is not realy a part of

ok those 2 are on me, sounded like planes to me

which dutch doesnt have armed version of

i mean like i said, never said dutch has no vehicles at all, but doesnt change belgium being more intresting and we know gajin they will just add the copy paste stuff they can add. Most what “players” would consider intresting would be either the swedish or german stuff

I find this much too skewed of a way to look at things.

Like it is fair in the context of the French tree, it still isn’t representative of the uniqueness of the region as a whole.
I am fully aware of the sub-tree status that is coming, but that does not mean we should be ignorant to what the region has made.

Tbf, there’s a few Swiss vehicles that belong in France and it’s not as if any French main is asking for German Leopards in their tech tree. As usual, the way the devs have handled it is a mess.
