The article is talking about software integration of newer BLUFOR tracking/Communication between aircraft and also allowing for newer armament. But also, is this an official US Air Force article like you said it was? Because I don’t remember Defense One being our PR department.

Pretty sure I seen an F22 pilot have a very similar helmet to the one on F35s, but anyway.
Let me ask you a question of common sense.
Why do F15s and F16s have HMD while they came in the '90s and are 80s tech? Do you think the Air force wouldn’t want its best aircraft have the best technology? An aircraft that came in the 2000s… All you you need is common sense, very hard to achieve for some people unless they see it directly with their eyes, which is a problem of actually wanting to believe the information rather than the wish of being convinced.
