Pretty sure I seen an F22 pilot have a very similar helmet to the one on F35s, but anyway.
Let me ask you a question of common sense.
Why do F15s and F16s have HMD while they came in the '90s and are 80s tech? Do you think the Air force wouldn’t want its best aircraft have the best technology? An aircraft that came in the 2000s… All you you need is common sense, very hard to achieve for some people unless they see it directly with their eyes, which is a problem of actually wanting to believe the information rather than the wish of being convinced.

F22 is being extended in service life and is receiving upgrades despite NGAD. I’d be very surprised if one of them wasn’t integrating jhmcs.

F16 and F15 didnt recieve JHMCS until post 2005 afaik.
NGAD will come in the 2030s+, no need for such a thing when Russia’s Air force is already at half and with no real plans for the country to succeed in anything. Same for china.

If it comes then it comes, but as of right now it’s not in the cards. There are other budgetary things the USAF have on their plate. I could see it coming maybe on the late side of its life when NGAD is completing its testing phase.
