Wont be surprised if it happens this year, considering most of the Swedish premiums if not all are in a mid position anyways, J35A stuck in legacy top tier, J35XS has like 12 flares, rod adam is pretty much forgotten etc. But as of Norwegian picks a more realistic option would be a F-5A, and F-5s has been proven to be good grinders.

ok so just out of curiosity
- with this Yak there are no 6 Pilot/flying Ace specific soviet planes in game
- the US tree has 4
- the UK tree has 3
- the French and Japanese trees have 2
- the German, Italian, Israeli and swedish trees have 1 each
- and the Chinese get no Ace’s planes
like I understand how you wouldn’t want to celebrate any Axis Aces but come one

Well, the Mirage 2000D-R1 was retrofitted with MAWS but only the R2 had its countermeasures compatible with the MAWS it seems. R2 would allow for the MAWS to have automatic countermeasure deployment.

Just a minor correction, initially it was projected that MICA NGs were coming in 2026, but the French recently decided to speed up delivery of these weapons amongst others to the 2nd semester of 2025, so in less than a year from now it seems

@dedale_stargate MBDA stated that part of the reasons MICA NG is coming along now is also because the current stock of MICA EM/IR is expiring, particularly the motor since it is 20+ years old now. So France will likely have no choice but to refit the RMV with MICA NG IR in the near future.

Yup, the export orders for Rafale are higher than the production rates, and France even had to sell some of the Rafales in their own fleets to meet export orders. So it doesn’t seem like they’ll replace it completely just yet.
