Gaijin just wanted to multiply the possibility of gameplay for the already big lineups for Germany around these BRs. SK105 was only for Germany first, then with the backlash they go for DF105 only.
For me they just wanted to steal one of the few French different gameplay (autoloader oscillating turret) to please the Germans and give them more things (while they already have more vehicle around that BR)
Meanwhile we still don’t have our own vehicle using our own turret that was put on the DF105
