@Smin1080p I’m sorry to ask such a hypothetical so soon, but with the possibility of more vehicles for Japan from nations like Thailand in the future, I wanted to ask for clarification about Chinese vehicles in Thailand. Has any official decision been made by the devs on if they would consider ever adding the Thai VT-4 or VN-1 to Japan in the future? Or has no official decision been made about this?

I am kinda surprised by that. The Buc S2B got a fuel tank even though it really doesnt need one. So I thought maybe their default going forward was to just add them to new aircraft from the start. But perhaps not.

My theory as to why the F-20 didn’t get them is due to them being the same as on the F-5Es (both wing and fuselage), and just haven’t been modelled yet (or are ready for implementation). I imagine all 3 F-5Es and the F-20 will get the drop tanks (wing and centerline) by June or August.
But that’s just a THEORY-
Again, surprising they didnt pair the F-5 getting them with the new F-5 that was added this update. They like pairing those types of things up. But yeah, sometime next year if you are lucky by their normal rate

Afaik Mirage 2000s didn’t get them too, when they were also in the files

In Chinese blog’s comment, they said no. Like what they said in blog, this need to be considered carefully.
I don’t know why they got to be careful adding Chinese vehicles to other trees.
It’s not like China is 100% unique anyway. Most of there tree has got like 5 in game nations.

Chinese players need to realise that as a major arms exporter Chinese stuff is just going to show up in other trees.

This is due to the historical relationship between Japan and most Asian countries, and this still have large influence now.
It’s not about something like “China is 100% unique”, but about “Chinese/Asian vehicle in Japan”.
It’s fine for most Chinese players to see Chinese things in other TT in normal situation, will only ask for a C&P in Chinese TT too at most, like what happened to KF41.

It’s not about relationships here. Thailand will be the sub tree for Japan end of.
The main issue here is double standard Chinese players don’t want there tech added to other nations.
For Majors I understand that but when it’s China rank 1 to 5 is full of other nations tech.
Unless they want to support to make China an Israeli style half nation then they can’t really moan.
I’ve always said this if you don’t want your nations tech in other tress then complain to your government to stop exporting it not to gaijin.

Japan won’t have a sub nation; it’ll be a collection of East and Southeast Asian countries.
I would imagine Thailand would be the major player here but yea I would assume other Asian nations would fill gaps too.

It was confirmed by a Russian dev that it would be more than just one, so it isn’t speculation. I expect Thailand to be the most prominent one, also, however not that it will be the main one.

I haven’t seen that he deleted it, however even if he did, it doesn’t mean much, since it can be interpreted as him saying something about future plans that he wasn’t meant to, not that it was untrue.
I mean given Thailand is a new and only other nation that has been added to Japan so far.

It is. Nobody will have say no about add a British modified Type59 or a American Type59 Jaguar.

No, Commonwealth is a real and existing relationship. But Japan and other Asian country not. The only relationship is the enslavement during WW II. Something like adding Israel to German.
Thai and Japan is something like Italy and Hungary, are allies in WW II. From this aspect, add Thai is the most suitable to add.
For Thai’s Chinese vehicles, is hard to judge. If Thai added as sub TT, it’s reasonable to add. But not fit political correctness, and Gaijin always handles political things carefully.
Anyway, it’s just 2 vehicles, add them or not won’t be a very big problem.
