The ST-A4 was satisfactory for the JGSDF and was put into service as it was. You must be talking about a specific instance of the ST-A4 that was modified.
In December 1958, the manufacturer was notified of the production of two second prototype vehicles, with STA-4 completed in November 1959 and STA-3 in January 1960.
STA-3 and STA-4 have almost no differences in the basic structure of the hull and turret, and are equipped with the same main gun and engine, but the structure of the commander’s cupola and the method of equipping the 12.7mm heavy machine gun differ. There was a difference.
The STA-3 has a rear-opening gunner’s hatch on the left center of the top of the turret, a low all-round rotating commander’s cupola on the center right, and a ring mount around the commander’s cupola. It was equipped with an mm heavy machine gun.
On the other hand, the STA-4’s commander’s cupola was changed to a cupola-type commander’s gun turret similar to the American M48 Patton tank, and a 12.7mm heavy machine gun was equipped at the front of the turret.
This turret could rotate all around, and the 12.7mm heavy machine gun could be raised up and down from inside the turret.

Next Nation pre-order packs I think are likely. However, if the planned missiles come I’d see that pack not coming until the summer update.
I’m also still in the F-18 camp but after talking with others I’ve shifted it from likely to maybe in my opinion.
There has been no indication of them coming, so no, they are not likely.

Japan isn’t getting unique stuff anymore (at least… i think). Gaijin doesn’t really profit from Japan, that’s why the only unique model we have gotten in the last 3 years is the Type-99 155mm SPH.
