what does the vertical drive “drive”? also known as elevate?
oh dont worry my dude :)
all tanks with stabilisers turned on may get the same numbers later :)
I also stated it’s likely possible that Type 10 has a stabilizer speed around 40 degrees per second.
the gunner and commander can input higher speed to the turret drive but that’s only outside trainings since normally the turret traverse is limited but i remember there was an archive stating like 39.8 or something like that
which brings you to my point
ur what point? i havent read too much on this just explaining how the turret traverse thing works
I certainly believe that 40 degrees per second horizontal would be likely.
After all Leclerc’s got proven to be that recently and that was on the slower side until that proof.
@StormRyder13
There are no trolls in this conversation.
The WT community isn’t out to get you.
theyre internally testing(or so i heard) that whenever you have your stabilisator on, your horiz and vertical speed decrease to about 5-10°/s, this goes for all tanks
and when its turned off, its normal
Exactly my point as well BTW.
It’s weird that Storm thinks we’re all trolls…
that dosent make sense look at this, turning the stabilizer on makes the system force a stabilization and so force the turret to follow the tank movement and as its name states stabilize
ok dude and do you think that that is more than 10°/s, or 20
That is extremely interesting.
Standardization is both good and bad.
Yes, having a template for when don’t have the numbers is a good idea.
However, using it when you do is a bad thing.
Mmmm, my precious.
I do hope we get separated input and stab speeds this year for War Thunder.
You made it sound like you assumed Gaijin had a reason beyond just not having values for the Type 10 when copying Type 90 turret traverse values over, which even Gaijin had stated is due to lack of concrete information.
Aren’t we?
prob with the FCS thing they plan on adding to tank sights
there is a document stating that here, also a bit down there it states that max turret rotation speed its 47 degrees per second but probably with extra energy input from the transmission, nvm that’s from commander’s sight
Spoiler
I can’t see them but if I had to guess they are putting words in my mouth that I did not say like they always do.
Its even saying “30*/s or more”
Oh no, all I was saying is that the FCS-limited input vertical speed could be the same between Type 90 and Type 10.
And it could be to make re-training on the new tanks easier.
Not that they are the same, as I have no personal belief on this at this time.
Not saying that the in-game 8 degrees limited input speed is correct either, as I do not know one way or the other.
Not that horizontal speed is correct as it could very well not be, and I believe it’s slower than it should.
And especially I believe the vertical stabilizer speed is likely closer to 40 degrees per second than not for at least Type 10.
Apologies that wasn’t particularly clear originally.
If I left anything out of this post that would further clarify things for you do not hesitate to ask.
i think i got some info, apparently the turret can only traverse in 30 degrees per second normally but during stabilization it locks the turret rotation to 45 to keep up with the traverse of the tank and if the gunner needs to it could override the traverse to put it to 45 altough this is not recommended, there problem solved no more discussions
