Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

Of the western front*

Of course.

If you want more western front fact, France was the only one fighting side by side with Russia against Germany during ww2 (Normandie Niemen).

Someone told me one of the Cold War “T” tanks that is that it could be the Finish modified version.

However, I could be mixing up with one of the vehicles that should have come.

this is just disapointing to watch …

Operation Benedict… Arctic convoys to Murmansk in which several of my Grandads brothers (and a fair few others from my home village) died and he was mentioned in dispatches…

Just because 1 silly bugger says something doesnt mean you have to match them lol. Merchant marines/navy also might not have fought, but they damn well deserve respect.

The T-55M wasn’t on Finlands release but has been since, which is a nice addition.

Still waiting for T-72 FINMOD, which isn’t in game yet.

Bring on that thing and the Pz.2000, any other remaining M109’s, Polish Krab, AS-90, and the 2S19 MSTA… The answer is always MORE!

I agree we disagree, but I’m curious. A tank with okay frontal protection, severe vulnerability to HEAT of all varieties, no coaxial machinegun (new mantlet), no turret MG, no thermals, no NVG (no one uses it anyways, but still), 16 rounds of safe(r) storage for ammo, no smoke grenades… all of that means it MUST go up past 10.3 at a bare minimum because it has a round with 690 pen and good post pen effect?

Make it make sense, I just don’t see it myself.

I think it’s important to realize that APFSDS has quite decent spall at 105mm and beyond.
This being a 152mm would have an incredible amount of spall, making it more likely to one-shot it’s opposition.

I think putting it at 10.3 would be fine, possibly 10.7, but I don’t think it would change much in the grand scale of things anyways.

Better protection than T-80B, better optics, the gun as well as damage to it are very good.
Only real downside is not having smoke grenades.
Other downsides are what is usual to soviet vehicles around that BR.
If to put it 10.7 it at least is gonna see vehicles that can actually penetrate its armour easier than others more often.
As someone who plays T-80B a lot I rarely use thermals that much.
What is a real downside, t least compared to other soviets is lack of smoke grenades, kinda like T-64A case.

Damn the submarines! Nice to see someone bring up the Merchant Marines who are often forgotten.

Saw this one few days ago ^^

At least can be used as proof for Gaijin to put physics on the guns !

Yes. Is there anything else more modern for France after that?

Only in part of the turret. The T-80BV hull without K-1 is worse I’m pretty sure. It’s at least more vulnerable to HEAT. No MG’s means small and light vehicles as well as helicopters are going to kick your ass if it’s a one on one.

Some tanks are already starting to get Gen 1 and Gen 2 thermals at that BR, and while I find myself going between both views in both the T-80U and T-80B, you will find yourself at a disadvantage in poor weather and lighting conditions, as well as certain maps. You can try to make the 292 a brawler, but it’s going to be mid at best doing that. 10 second reload will have you fighting more defensively.

I think if they bring it up to 10.3 or above, they need to add thermals even if ahistorical to keep it competitive. Again, just my two cents.

Lies

There is this too

" Operation Benedict (29 July – 6 December 1941) was the establishment of Force Benedict with units of the Soviet Air Forces (VVS, Voenno-Vozdushnye Sily) in north Russia, during the Second World War. The force comprised 151 Wing, Royal Air Force (RAF), with two squadrons of Hawker Hurricane fighters."

Nope!
T-80B we have in game can even be penned by 120MM DM23 at UFP in lower part of it or most rounds can easily go around the 16mm plate.
292 has much more consisten UFP that is also stronger.

Only on big areas really, but even then its possible to see the target. You also shouldnt forget about better sights, as well as better ballistics.

7,1 on soviets is already worse than opponents

na let them keep on going , funny to watch The Michael Jackson Popcorn GIF and the Controversy of 'Leaving Neverland'
