While not increasing the BRs of any fourth gen fighters that get them, and increasing the BRs of the third gen ones to the same BRs as the fourth gen ones, of course.

Yeah you may be right, in the amraam leak the
Missile on the wintips of the f16C has the front wings clipped like on the aim120c. Although the rear wings on the missie look like aim120a/b so its a bit of Frankenstein missile now.
It could have just been a WIP model.

Actually based on my recent info gathering these might be AIM-120C-7 which have larger wing surfaces compared to regular C variants:
I might be completely wrong about C-7 since I couldn’t find any hard evidence for its bigger wings. That being said the missile from the leak doesn’t fit the look of B or C variants.
I might be wrong about them being A/B but these fins are definitely too big for regular C
I hope TT version of TRAM will come.
The SWIP will come once the TRAM stops selling incredibly well.

When will the BR changes take effect? Next “it’s fixed”?
Could be the C7 but it seems very unlikely to me they would add such a late model immediately. Seems tot me they either wanted te make a C model and forgot to change the rear fins of wanted to make an a/b model and got the front fins wrong.
I mean they can have a couple of AMRAAMs modelled for testing. One in the vid can be the C-7 or just badly modelled other variant. Or just a fake vid made by some player

The aim120 irl specifically targets the cockpit of an enemy aircraft, to make sure the pilot doesn’t survive. Well at least I’ve heard many claim it does. It would give the aim120 an advantage vs other fox 3 missiles despite the lower range compared to r77/r27ea.
