I mean the F-16 is literally the thumbnail. The F-117 update trailer was also kind of annoying since the whole surprise was ruined by the thumbnail very clearly being an F-117
Yeah but the trailers are cool
that isnt the case with every trailer
the EF and Rafale werent on the Storm Warning thumbnail for example
or the Comache in the Leviathans trailer
but often they spoil the suprise
but what i have to say is that the ppl that are sitting here waiting for the trailer to release probably only ever look at the thumbnail after watching the trailer
Oh :(
Oh, my expectations aren’t too excessive, hahah.
I’m a simple person: me gets modern MBT, be is happy!
But after periods of several major updates without a single modern MBT, the wait gets frustrating :’)
Thousands await the Polish tech tree
True, hopefully more are like those going forward
it seems like gaijin is going that way
the last 3 trailers didnt had any vehicle in the thumbanil
I would really like the Indonesian tank that is coming to be a 7.7 FV
This, usually you’re refreshing the page for half hour and then the second it drops or something changes you immediately jump on it. I don’t think I’ve once looked at the thumbnail before clicking on the teaser.
They could honestly put the thumbnail as a list of everything planned for the next year and 90% of people would miss it.
they could set the thumbanil as a grey background with the update name just written on there
and then change it to the proper thumbnail after 5 to 10 minutes
They could do but that’s effort and Gaijin often aren’t about that
i belive in the basement guy
Gaijin does their updates backward to pretty much every game I’ve ever played.
Most companies release a few teaser bits of information followed by a trailer and then do deep dives into individual pieces of content after outlining the theme or the new additions.
Gaijin decides they want to focus on releasing very specific information, that may or may not be interesting to the majority of players, while keeping most of the information a secret before finally doing a trailer.
Personally I prefer the upfront approach. If you tune in wanting to see what is coming that interests you personally and instead it’s a boat blog(or insert content you personally find uninteresting) it just leaves you feeling disappointed for the day. Devblog season is just 90% daily disappointment followed by the trailer that actually tells me if there is something I might like
Dont they use the premiere function on youtube for a lot of the trailers and it doesnt show the real thumbnail till it starts? Or is that just for the dev streams
Thats like, literally what gaijin does
A few devblogs for less interesting things, the trailer then dev stream with dev blogs for the more interesting things
they started using the premiere for the last 2 or 3 trailers and didnt do that before that
Didn’t they only do it for 1 trailer, 2 updates ago? I can’t recall them doing it last time.
I hope they start doing that more, was nice to give my F5 key a break for once.
iam not too sure either
but gaijin has definetly been experimenting with that stuff
