Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

Hey @Smin1080p_WT i just want to ask can contract vehicles (such as Thai gripen e) can they be added to the game before they even delivered irl? Even tho there no pictures or anything yet? Since gaijin already added asea typhoon i thought Thailand gripen e can have a chance of being added.

Thats ones a no.
Smin recently answered that in the context with the isralian AH 64E and it getting denied.
So no thai gripen e until official handover, Same reason why the F.15IA isnt possible

Different situation, the typhoons arent a specific generation/batch, gajin specialy left that out.
They are the typhoons with the aeasa built in a s testing pretty much.

I think you understand Smin’s reply wrongly.

The deal is not finalised - So things can change - “not clear if deal is still going through or not”

Thai Gripen E deal is finalised, pending delivery of 3x Gripen Es.

its finalised when its handed over

Smin literaly says trialed/ordered but didnt arrive due to circumstances.
Did you eveny read what he wrote?

A similar situation is the Italian 2a8 deal that fell trough way later on.

That is not how irl works lmao.

Lets clarify it then with a deal is finished when both parties fullfiled their side.
While Thailand ordered them, the handover and finish of the deal needs to be fullfilled first as well

Heavy Tank No.6 was not delivered.

Italian Leo 2A8 deal is same situation as Israel AH-64E.

2023 - Italy intended to buy Leo 2A8s.
Late 2023 - Italy begins negotiations to get a deal.
2024 - Deal not reached. No 2A8s ordered.

It’s entirely different. Thailand WILL receive 3x + 1 Gripen Es - The deal is final, paid for and pending delivery.

you are comparing a ww2 vehicle to a modern vehicle, gajin does handle them a bit differently.
For those exact reason the heavy tank no 6 is only a premium as well and not a tech tree vehicle.

As Smin stated the Gripen in this case need to arrive in thailand first

As Smin stated the Gripen in this case need to arrive in thailand first

He did not say this.

Yeah finished, but finishing a deal and finalizing a deal is not the same thing.

you would think you would understand Smins statements considering he answered you in those cases specialy even.

Things can change drasticaly IRL before they make it to the game.
That is why they wait until the actual handover.
Gajin doesnt even know their actual painting/skin until then either

Technically it was delivered to the Japanese Forces, because it never went to Japan that doesn’t mean it wasn’t delivered

that ones wrong
The first handover actualy was 2022 lol

Gotta love nation tourist

Also no. AH-64E might not actually be bought by Israel after all if they deem they don’t need AH-64E over their own AH-64D. Israel has not paid for them.
So the deal may not go through.

Whereas Thai Gripen E has been bought and confirmed. Deliveries will take place 2025-2030.

Deliveries will take place 2025? oh look its already nearly 2027, and nothing has been handed over yet? lol

They gonna get them when they get them, once handed over. 2a7Hu, KF41 it has been the case for all vehicles of modern time.

Nice job of you to ignore the embarrasment of the KF41, IF you wanna ignore it, you are better of deleting your whole post

No you are correct on KF41. Well spotted.

But don’t twist Gaijin’s rule on undelivered vehicles - There is none.

Smin denied the Israeli AH-64E because while the US has approved the possible Foreign Military Sale. Israel themselves has yet to purchase it.

Not because the AH-64E is not in Israel yet. But because we don’t know if the AH-64E will even BE in Israel.

Either way, vehicles for tech trees arent added until they finaly handed over.
Else they arent modelable. There could always be changes to the vehicle, changes in the camouflage and so on

You are right.

For example, Indonesia and Taiwan AH-64Es are supposed to be different in Avionics and AMASE/Countermeasures. Plus they are not supposed to get LDIRCM.

But yet, Gaijin modelled them to be the same. Most notably giving them LDIRCM blocks which they definitely did not intend to get.
