On paper they would, how they are implemented depends on Gaijin but that’s on them and not a lack of options.

I don’t have too much hope for the mobility considering that would need new mechanics to allow for things like regenerative steering and more complex transmission modelling than what we have now. That said I still have slightly more hope than for the armor that I didn’t even bother mentioning just because all we know is that it’s wrong, but we lack the proper sources to know what exactly would be right.

If they really want to have it keep up with new tanks the reload is probably how they will do it, considering reload is known to be a balance factor anyways (can’t be faster than reality, but is often slower for balance like it is here). The Type 10 can shave off nearly half of the current reload time under the right conditions (~2.2s for follow up shot with round cycled before firing), and still almost a quarter sustained (3.2s fastest known sustained reload).
There’s also an upgrade in the works with 30mm RWS and APS, so when the reload stops being enough that might already exist.

psure the Type 10 would actively destroy is autoloader with that reload tho, same with the leclerc if it went higher in RPM

It’s not a trialed off-the-shelf product, it’s a unique variant made exclusively for Norway. Sure it wasn’t adopted, but that just makes it a failed prototype like so many others.

Not really; Type 10’s mobility is broken WITHIN CURRENT mobility standards. Youtubers, dataminers and even myself have been able to fix it by simply changing two values from its code.

Regenerative steering is a whole different matter.

Ah right, the steering too. No idea how it’s even still that broken with how many times they claimed to fix that by now.

Is there any news on testing regenerative steering?
Asking this cause it has been close to a year since the first implementation of it was found in the game as the EldE 98.
Or when it was mentioned that it may get tested did the devs mean internally?

Gaijin should also do something about Torque…Scimitar and Elde aside…

of all the thing that could’ve received it, EldE is one hell of a choice considering it cant even make it past like 10kmph

It is still trialed slop. It should be added as a premium or something for the Korean tree.

funny how only the Leclerc can get its supposed “emergency” reload rate
iirc Type 10 should be less than 4s as well, not counting the 1s or sth evil mode

implement its 1sec reload but make the player repair everytime you use it

I don’t think it’d be possible to destroy the autoloader within the time of an average WT match even when continuously firing at these rates. It’s probably like structural limits on aircraft, where long term damage prevention is important in reality, while in game people constantly pull 14+ Gs because they only care to preserve their aircraft for the next twenty minutes before bringing a factory new one to the next battle anyways.

We also just don’t have any evidence of autoloader damage at all, so saying that it can’t sustain the maximum reload speed is still only guesswork. I think setting the fastest known reload as a base, which is ~2.2s (likely with the second round cycled before firing since this happens to be the shell ramming speed of the Type 90 autoloader, sustained would require cycling the rounds for an added ~1s assuming the direct next in line round but potentially more to switch ammo types).

1s reload I’m not sure if I believe it. The gun reset, but the tank didn’t fire any other round after that. It’s possible the reload was interrupted or the autoloader was empty. This is also only half the time than shell ramming alone takes in the Type 90, which would be an insane difference between the tanks even if we don’t have confirmed shell ramming speed for Type 10 itself.

I think the only variables in reload is when the next round is cycled and dropped into loading position (which sits under the revolving belt, unlike the WT model), and where the next round is located. If the next shell is readied before firing then you only need to load it after firing which can be very fast. But cycling another round, depending on where it’s located, can take longer and add to the reload time.

I mean prob could be done for modern vehicles (like 10.0+) in one week if they locked in on the tuning of them AND another thing to add to their marketing of most realistic vehicle combat simulation where they now “accurately” simulate transmission types (CVTs still aren’t really CVTs so not really)

Forget the Type 10, the Challenger 2 not losing all of its speed and then dropping to gear 1 is the biggest thing for me.
